  • Perfect family weekend

"We are 4 related adults and 2 dogs. The house was perfect for us - clean, comfortable, easy to be in, and our dogs were invited!... it is clearly a home and not just a rental! The beach is a perfectly short walk - we saw deer, coyote and bald eagle. The home is back from the main road enough that it feels safe and secluded. The house was really clean and comfortable. The backyard has a really nice fire pit - but it rained our whole weekend. The main highlight for us were the kite stores in Long Beach and then driving up to Leadbetter park and taking the hike from the bay to the ocean - then flying our kites on the beach! We'd love to stay here again. It worked out perfectly for our little family weekend away."

  • I didn't want to leave.

"We had the best Christmas vacation at this beautiful house. It had everything we wanted: 1) a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean from the living room, dining area, kitchen, and master suite. The whole top floor felt like you were on the beach. Amazing! 2) a fireplace that was easy to use 3) well equipped kitchen (with a view) 4) clean 5) easy walk to beach 6) private We went to town one night for dinner at the Pickled Fish, and took a few beach walks, other than that, I was happy to hunker down and enjoy the beauty of the ocean and house. I was worried at first that the concrete floors would be cold, but they kept toasty with radiant heat. Added bonus was that most of the lights (and there are lots of them) had dimmer switches so you could create some nice mood lighting. The owner was very easy to communicate with and helpful. My only "complaint", and I hate to even call it that, is that the living room furniture could be a little more plentiful and cozier. This would be a great getaway for writing so I'm hoping to get back alone to do so...sorry family :)"
