  • Birthday weekend with our Besties!

"We love the canal and Sunshine Point was the perfect place to revisit old memories from our childhood stomping grounds, and create new ones. The home is perfectly situated on the property with beautiful views and great access to the beach. Sue and Mark have made sure it is well-stocked and nicely furnished. We were 3 couples (down from an intended 4) and the bedroom configuration worked well for the 6 of us. We would have had to draw straws if we'd had the 4 couples as the 4th bedroom is set up for kids or singles....we would have made it work, though! We had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. We loved the outdoor fire pit for the one drizzly day we had. We appreciated all the seating inside and out. Since we were very close to Twanoh State Park, we visited the beach where, as teens, we spent hot summer days sun bathing and swimming. We took the 2.5 mi hike which is scenic and probably do/able for most. A must-do is the drive to the Hama Hama Oyster get rewarded with the freshest oysters ever, raw or grilled, as well as other menu items and beer and wine. It was great weekend experience. Sue was a gracious host and made everything easy to arrange. We shall return!!!"

  • Already planning our next trip to Beach Life!

"You simply can't go wrong with Beach Life. It is a cozy home overlooking the beach/lighthouse and the mountains. It was a perfect size for the 6 of us (my mom, husband, and 3 kids). It was hard to tear ourselves away to explore the rest of the Peninsula. Speaking of the Peninsula, it is a great home base for the wonderful adventures awaiting there. The guide books in the house were super helpful. You can't beat the fantastic views at Hurricane Hill trail. Our favorite though was Camp Handy, which was even closer to the house. Can't wait to come back with kayaks and check out the lighthouse next time!"

  • Hood Canal Wow!

"This is a wonderful opportunity for a large family or 2 to enjoy ALL that the Pacific Northwest had to offer: walks on the beach, hikes in the woods, and scenic drives!"

  • This is Paradise!

"This is our second visit to this house -- we could never get tired of the view as we entered and saw the vaulted living area outfitted with a wall of windows with compelling water views. We loved the two large decks where we could look down at the water below -- and occasionally saw eagles and seals swimming by. The house was well stocked with anything we could need kitchen-wise and there is even more entertainment than before -- more movies, tv's in every room, and we had a great time playing ping pong on the table downstairs. After hiking at the Olympic National Park we ended the day with a fire on the water's edge. You just can't get closer to the water to enjoy a camp fire and we really look forward to enjoying it again sometime soon. The grounds outside the house are now lighted with accent lights and it has great mood at night. There seems to no shortcomings with this property. Glad we came back again -- we just love this place!"
