  • A little piece of heaven

"This was an amazing place for us to relax and enjoy time with our family. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful as well as beautiful. The house is so well furnished, I can't think of anything one might need or want that isn't there. The deck overlooking the water extends the entire length of the house and had gorgeous pots of flowers when we were there. Slightly uphill from the house is a meadow with an old orchard (we had ripe plums and blackberries, and the pears and apples were nearly ready) We watched the deer grazing there nearly every morning and evening. Giant blue heron and otters could be seen from the front deck. The old boat house is a treasure of things collected over the years. Our grown children enjoyed using the kayaks, and there are bicycles in the garage. With a bedroom suite at each end of the house it can be private as well. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for those who like to cook and bake. Kilisut Harbor will always remain a very special place for us to remember !"

  • Fantastic weekend getaway!

"Our first VRBO, and noted that it didn't have the 'book w/ confidence' stamp, however the owners were extremely quick to respond to questions, provided everything we needed and more, and created just the weekend getaway we were looking for. Other commitments kept us from meeting Fran & Thom, but that didn't hurt the trip at all. Located near the water and roughly north/south center of the island, we found everything to be easily accessible. Water views, sun sets, and hummingbirds that approached the deck were fantastic. Room, hot tub, etc. were all clean. As a novice, I might have benefited from instructions for the hot tub and fireplace, but we managed! Would recommend, especially during the spring special!"

  • Fantastic views and affordable rate

"We held a family reunion for 8 with 3 couples and ourselves. Everyone agrees this was the best family reunion we have ever had in large part because of this wonderful location. The sunroom, deck, & kitchen provides a 180 degree view of the Puget Sound looking North and East. Marvelous sunroom, excellent gas grill on the deck, clean in every respect and a detailed instructional folder on kitchen counter when questions arise. Full array of kitchen equipment. Two bedrooms look out on the Puget Sound so draw straws for these with your guests :-) We visited Fort Worden for kayaking and Port Townsend for shopping, just a 20 minute drive away. Joan and Jay were always very responsive to answer questions before our stay. We will certainly consider this for our next family reunion!"

  • Peaceful Getaway

"The cottage was perfect for my sister and I and the dogs. There was a small fenced in backyard which was convenient for the dogs. The proprietor was charming and thoughtful, with many nice touches, from snacks in the refrigerator to ironed napkins on the table. Being "in the country" it was also nice and quiet and watching the farm animals was delightful. We look forward to staying here again."
