  • First Time to WA Coast and Loved It!

"Our family had a absolutely wonderful time during our stay and believe it or not, this was actually our first trip to the WA coast - yes really :). The home is very comfortable and lends itself to just hanging out and taking in the great views. We ran into one day of rain and easily found enough to do inside with the games that we brought and the ones that the home is stocked with. They also have a large DVD library with two DVD players just in case you get tired of playing games and/or need some time for the kiddos to wind down. When the rain subsided, the short 10 minute walk to the beach through the beach grass and over the bridge wasn't at all bad and we had a lot of fun playing hide and seek in the grass too. The only 2 things that have kept us from giving our trip a 5 Star Rating are: Even though the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, we constantly ran out of plates to use - very minor if you ask me, but I took the groups opinion. The biggest thing is the bed in the first floor bedroom. We had some good friends of ours spend the first two nights with us and the bed downstairs could not support the both of them. It has a serious middle dip in it and constantly squeaks every time someone moves. In our opinion, the bed should be replaced. But again, this home is very comfortable and was a great place for us to spend our Spring Break. We want to thank Ausmus family for allowing us to rent their home, we had a wonderful time with lots of great memories!"

  • Great house, great location, great hospitality

"Our group of two families of four with kids ages 2, 5, 9, and 12 could not be happier with this property. The house was meticulously clean, well maintained and well stocked. Bob gave us a quick run-through and I was more impressed as the tour went on. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the grill several times and it worked well. We had perfect weather (no rain in the Pacific northwest?) so we didn't spend a ton of time in the house, although the kids did enjoy using the hot tub a few times. Another benefit was the grass runway just outside. We saw many small airplanes taking off and landing, which the kids and adults both enjoyed watching. Hurricane Ridge is about 35 miles away and the rest of Olympic is not too far to drive. Sequim is a nice town and we happened to be there during Lavender Fest (which I also recommend). The Dungeness spit is a 2 mile drive away and worth checking out. To sum up, the house is awesome and Bob was a gracious host. We would book again if we come back to the area. Thank you."

  • Perfect Victorian Vacaton house

"All our of us had a wonderful time staying in this Victorian house in Port Angeles. The location was perfect for our three-day exploration of the Olympic National Park area. The house was really special and extremely well equipped. The owner personally met with us upon arrival, helped us get acquainted with the property, and was very friendly and welcoming. We were so impressed with the house that we are planning to let family and friends know about this gem so they can add it to their travel plans."
