  • Lovely and serene beach house.

"We just had the best time, there was something for everyone from my 60+mother in law, who loved sitting in the glider watching the tides roll in by the big windows, to my young nephew who played badminton with us on the lawn just by the beach. We all loved watching the bald eagles, sea otters, sea ducks and deer all from the wrap around deck. This was such a relaxing place to stay. The home itself felt like a home, everything you might need is there. I could tell the owners stay there sometimes as well, because it felt cared for. I would definitely stay again."

  • Fantastic Place, just a few things to know ahead of time...

"We loved our stay here. I especially appreciated the kind and efficient communication with the owner! We liked the location a lot because it isn't too far from Seattle and it is right on the beach. It is also close to Lake Cushman activities and Hoodsport (grocery story and ICE CREAM parlors). The cabin is definitely rustic, but clean with all the modern things you need like a bathroom, shower with good water pressure, running water, tv with dvd only... :) My absolute favorite thing about this property was the deck with a big round picnic table on it. The view was great and it was so nice to sit out there in the morning and read with my coffee and later in the day we played cards and could even eat around the table, which fits 6 adults nicely (we had 5 adults + 2 little kids around it). What I think is important to know is that since you need to stay off the neighbor's property, the beach access you do have is steep, so was difficult to impossible for our older family members to navigate. Another thing to note is that none of the bedrooms have doors on them. We made it work and everything else was so great that this wasn't a major problem, but we were surprised at first and I think it is good to know what to expect. You can still change clothes in the bathroom or in privacy if no one walks in the room. Lastly, there aren't curtains on the bedroom windows, except for one in the master, but it is sheer. As an adult, this wouldn't be a problem for going to sleep (it gets dark around 9pm during the summer), but it made for a bit of a challenge to get our little ones to sleep (no door + lots of light). Don't get me wrong, this place is so great, which is why I give it 5 stars, and we will be back, but I think it's good to know ahead of time about some of the quirks so that you are totally pleased with your stay! Thank you Cynthia for a great time!"

  • Wonderful home that is perfect for a family get away

"This home and owner were wonderful to work with. The house is perfect for a relaxing trip, exploring the area or anything you want. A girls weekend, family gathering. We enjoyed every bit of our trip here and would definitely rent this house again if we come back. The views are amazing and different each day. i love the quiet mornings which seemed to be further away from all the boat activity in the morning."

  • Beautiful house

"We loved our stay at the All Seasons Waterfront Villa on the Hood Canal. It's an absolutely beautiful area, and the house is right on the water with a large yard, steps leading down to the beach, and fantastic views over the canal and the hills beyond. The house is large and very well-appointed; three full bedrooms, two full baths, and enough separation between the master bedroom and the others so people can spread out a bit and have some privacy. Hiking, biking, kayaking, and other adventures await in the surrounding area. Just up the road is Kayak Brinnon, where we rented kayaks and gear to go crabbing, catching ourselves some nice red rock crab for dinner. There's only a few downsides. First, the area is fairly remote, and it's at least a 30-minute drive to the nearest proper grocery store (not including a gas station a mile or so up the road). Come prepared since there's no quick dash to the store to grab something you forgot. Second, the house comes without any cable or satellite TV service, and no real DVD collection to speak of. Bring a laptop (the Internet works fine) and an HDMI cable so you can play your own movies on the TV. Third, the hot tub is great but during our stay the thermostat was not working properly, and was overheating -- we found that leaving the cover off for a few hours would let it cool down."
