  • Even better than it looks

"We got married in Kitsap but live over an hour away so we chose the Oyster Bay house for our nights following the festivities and it was PERFECT! With 4 bedrooms and 3 baths there was more than enough space for us, my brother and his spouse, and my new sister in law to stay comfortably and still enjoy our space! With 5 people it didn't even feel crowded. There was a large patio set on the upstairs deck where we enjoyed our breakfasts and a cute hideaway downstairs next to the hot tub with a cozy hammock. The hot tub was in prime location, perfect for watching the sunset over the water. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the Bremerton area. It was even more beautiful than the pictures, and everything you could need was in the home already, we were all so amazed at how perfect it was. We will be back again, there is no need to stay in a hotel when you can have such a gorgeous home all to yourself! Thank you so much for making us feel welcome into your home, we absolutely loved it !"

  • Birthday weekend with our Besties!

"We love the canal and Sunshine Point was the perfect place to revisit old memories from our childhood stomping grounds, and create new ones. The home is perfectly situated on the property with beautiful views and great access to the beach. Sue and Mark have made sure it is well-stocked and nicely furnished. We were 3 couples (down from an intended 4) and the bedroom configuration worked well for the 6 of us. We would have had to draw straws if we'd had the 4 couples as the 4th bedroom is set up for kids or singles....we would have made it work, though! We had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. We loved the outdoor fire pit for the one drizzly day we had. We appreciated all the seating inside and out. Since we were very close to Twanoh State Park, we visited the beach where, as teens, we spent hot summer days sun bathing and swimming. We took the 2.5 mi hike which is scenic and probably do/able for most. A must-do is the drive to the Hama Hama Oyster get rewarded with the freshest oysters ever, raw or grilled, as well as other menu items and beer and wine. It was great weekend experience. Sue was a gracious host and made everything easy to arrange. We shall return!!!"

  • West coast charm and beauty, quiet and conveniently located, perfect home away from home!!!!

"My husband and our 5 kids needed a place to stay while visiting our son in the military, stationed at Bremerton. This amazing home was ideal for our stay!!! 5 minutes to the base, with a grocery store right down the street. The most perfect home for us nestled in at the end of "the point" with picturesque views and quiet fires at night!!! Beautifully updated designs inside, the spacious kitchen, and gorgeous countertops and all the basics supplied for us. Dishwashing detergent for hand washing and machine. Kitchen towels, all the dishes needed! Plenty of seating available around the dining room table and kitchen island. Then to top it off they have a beautiful back deck sitting area with a grill and spacious table and chairs for outside seating!!! Then the "toy box" in the living room was amazing as well for the kids!!!! While they played in the toys, my husband and I would sit by the fireplace and enjoy each other!! Since we have kids ranging from 8-19 the lower level living room made for a great place for our older kids to hang out! Just an ideal way to allow everyone space when needed, but when we came together all 8 of us, we were NEVER cramped in the home!!! Then the sleeping arrangements were great!!!! The beds were extremely comfortable and plenty of sleeping room so our son in the military was able to stay with us on the weekend and we got to enjoy having him around even more, without cramping our style at the house. What a wonderful treat it was to have our entire family together!! Even though our stay was in the month of October, our kids were still able to go out into the waters bay floor when the tide would recede and pick up shells! Then as the tide would come back in, the kids could watch jellyfish and other fish swim in the waters at the base of the deck. What an AMAZING experience to have!!!! Overall, I would say this home was so easy to make into "our home" for the entire duration of our stay! HIGHLY RECOMMEND renting this to any and all that appreciate trouble free travel! The owners, Mike and Rachel, were amazing to work with, thank you so much!!!! Our son will be stationed at Bremerton for two more years, and we absolutely will stay here again on our next trip! Most Sincerely, Michael & Pamela"

  • Spectacular views!

"We had never been to the Seattle area and just happened upon Gig Harbor. It was definitely the right choice! What a sweet town filled with fun shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed breakfast at The Devoted Kiss down by the harbor, along with a concert and art street fair. Reading and eating on the deck was a treat. And, we made some delicious cobbler from the fresh blackberries in the yard. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Pat was extremely friendly and accommodating before and during our trip. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and wind down, the High Cottage is your place!"
