  • Wonderful Cottage with a View!

"We have enjoyed living here this summer and last. This has become our home away from home! The unit is very well equipped and the owners are wonderfully accommodating and helpful. If there is anything you need, they go out of their way to provide it. We love the wonderful kitchen and there is plenty of room to entertain guests. We have especially enjoyed the large, covered terrace with wonderful views of beautiful Lake Sammamish. This location works perfectly for us as our family lives nearby. We are walking distance to a lovely lakefront park with swimming area and dock which our grandkids love. We would highly recommend this home and we will definitely be coming back!"

  • Incredible Views

"We had a lovely stay at the charming cottage. Julia and her "boys" were such wonderful hosts! Our days always started out with coffee on the porch overlooking the bay ,and ended with food and wine on the porch watching the ever changing sunsets. We had fun daily outings on Whidbey, but the highlight was always coming "home" cooking up a gourmet meal and relaxing and soaking up the views. Whidbey is a magical place and Julia and her property definitely "dazzles"!! Karen and Rod"

  • Perfect place for making family memories!

"This was our first visit to Milky Way Farm Guest House and we found it to be the perfect place for making wonderful family memories! Our extended family of 11 (6 adults and 5 children, 5 years and under) spent 6 delightful days here enjoying farm life and exploring the gorgeous Kitsap Peninsula. The owners were very kind and helpful. The old farmhouse itself is a treasure...even more lovely than the photos on the website show, and with picture perfect views out every window. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with everything we needed. Each day for us started and ended on the large back porch, sitting in the swing or rockers, with coffee in hand, while we visited and watched kids and grandkids play out under the orchard trees and the cows graze in the pasture just beyond. The owners treated us to farm fresh eggs, and invited us to pick pears and plums from the fruit trees. Out front there was an old glider swing to play on and a little pond and stream to explore. Needless to say, our kids never wanted to leave the farm! Truly, Milky Way Farm is a child's heaven and an adult's oasis! Away from the farm, we enjoyed a family wedding at beautiful Kitsap Memorial State Park. We also visited Point No Point Lighthouse, where we explored the beach and watched a whale playing just off shore. On another outing, we took a ferry boat ride to Edmonds, ate fish and chips at Spud Fish & Chips, and then stopped and had ice cream at Mora's Iced Creamery in Kingston. This vacation will go in the books as one of our all time family favorites and Milky Way Farm will be a huge reason why! Can't wait to return!"

  • Amazing Sunsets!!!

"Tucked away in the "One Hundred Acre Woods" this house sits right on the beach and is truly perfect for all ages! The sunsets are AMAZING. The fire pit sits right up off the beach and is angled just right to watch the beach, sunsets, and dogs running along the waterside. The hot tub reminded us a wine barrel, so of course we jumped right in while drinking our wine! ;) Deck was perfect, hot tub was awesome (even the kids loved it!), volleyball was fun, and we even partook in using the little dingy boat. We celebrated my step-dad's 60th birthday - we had a total of 13 people: 8 adults, 3 kiddos (ages 10 & 7), 2 toddlers (14 & 18 months), and one very happy dog! Everyone fit perfectly and we had zero complaints! Well.... that's not true. The kids complained that they had a hard time making sand castles since the sand was a bit different from what they're use to, but they still attempted about 80 sand castles and they perfected the moat and seashell collecting, so the adults were happy. ;) 5 "bedrooms" total: three upstairs, one downstairs, and a den. I put bedrooms in quotes because the den is not technically a bedroom, but it should be considered one! It is away from the living room and the kitchen (where everyone hangs out), has an awesome mattress inside the couch, and has shutting doors! It is a nice big room with plenty of privacy and space. One bedroom with a queen sized bed downstairs with a private bathroom. Three bedrooms upstairs: One master bedroom (with a little bed underneath the window, so a little kid could sleep there!) with an AWESOME deck and telescope, another bedroom had 3 twin sized beds (perfect for kids -- not really adult sized), and the last bedroom had 2 queen sized beds. My husband, our baby, and my sister shared this room and it was perfect. ONE bathroom with a shower upstairs, ONE bathroom with a shower downstairs (this is the private bathroom to the bedroom), and ONE half bathroom downstairs. LOTS of room. Living room was huge, dining room table was big, kitchen is big with lots of counter space too. I went running every single day -- lots of places to go run. Just start running and turn either left or right onto Mutiny Bay road and you won't be disappointed. Deer, HILLS, waterfront, bunnies, and lots of beautiful scenery. We ate at: Patrons Mexican Food (good mango margaritas!), Charmers Bistro (highly recommend!), and Freeland Cafe (yummy mussels!). LOVED THE HOUSE AND THE OWNERS!"
