  • Peace On Earth

"From the stunning breathtaking gardens, to the adorable house, this vacation home should be on your list of places to stay. 45 minutes to downtown Seattle and 1.5 hours to Mt. Rainier, this house has location and million dollar views. The owners are very personable and we were greeted with wine and fresh baked brownies! I will return to this house for years to come. I promise you, your stay will be relaxing and you will be hard pressed to find a VRBO as good as this. The pictures do this house no justice, and honestly there is so many stunning views that it has to be seen for itself. Don't hesitate to book this for your next vacation."

  • Great place for family get together

"Eight of us stayed for four nights in June. We greatly enjoyed the open floor plan kitchen/dining/living rooms. Works so well for a large group. We also greatly enjoyed the covered deck when it inevitably rained. We bought fresh fish, steaks and chicken and grilled it up on the large grill on the deck and loved it, tho we had to clean the grates first. The owner was easy to work with and communicate with and VERY promptly refunded the damage deposit. The owner provided great directions for the semi-hard to find street access. The parking spots were very ample for our three cars, but if you want to park four cars, they better be real small cars. One warning: there are a lot of stairs in the house, due to its hillside location -- not suitable for toddlers or elderly. And, one suggestion: we suggest the owner supply some new coffee cups. With a large group, it's actually nice to have mis-matched cups so everyone knows their cup. But there were not enough cups for eight people. We will probably be back in two years for the next nephew's graduation."

  • Wonderful Lake Sawyer Retreat

"This was our first VRBO experience, and I'm so happy it went so smoothly. The owner was quick to respond to all inquiries beforehand, and sent thorough access directions and stay information. The property was exactly as described, with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 4 children. There are stunning views of the lake from the great room and upstairs bedroom. It was impeccably clean, there is a very nice washer and dryer...which we kept busy since the kayak on the lake was the main attraction for some of our group. A few specific thoughts for how this property might work for your group: There is a large main floor bedroom that has a queen, a full, and a twin bed, just off the entrance. It also has its own patio door access to the lake. This works out perfectly for parents and two or three children. The other main floor bedroom has its own full bath, and is great for hosts/grandparents. The two upstairs bedrooms are perfect for couples or singles. The one that faces the lake is huge with beautiful expansive windows. (There are panel inserts that you can put up or take down easily, depending on whether you like early morning light, or prefer to sleep in.) There are two twin beds in the upstairs game area outside the bedrooms. These are perfect for older children. In our case, we temporarily moved one of the twin mattresses into the larger upstair bedroom, so a toddler could sleep in the same bedroom with his parents with plenty of room to spare. There is a powder room upstairs as well. While we did little cooking, the kitchen is spacious with nice appliances, and appointed with common cooking/prep equipment. A final note about the responsiveness of the owner. After arriving home, we discovered that one of the children in our group left behind a treasured toy stuffed dog. We contacted the owner, who promptly tracked it down and sent it to us at no cost. While some might think this trivial...it meant a lot to the little one in our group to have her friend back."

  • It was a perfect place for our family gathering

"Our family had a great experience! We had a family gathering (with my family and my new daughter-in-law's) the day after the wedding. The backyard was perfect for football, frizzby game and kids running around freely. It was memorable, just how I imagined the day to be. I would recommend bringing your own linens for the foldout beds. We brought our own pillows and for the most part towels as well. The kitchen was well equipped!"
