  • Amazing property

"My husband and I visited from Denver and stayed at Driftwood for 2 nights with our adult daughter, a Seattle resident now. The cabin is welcoming, warm, and light with an incredible view. The actual view far surpassed the photos. We played games and enjoyed a non-plugged in stay comprised of beach walking, a dinner at the local tavern, a visit to Ebey's Landing where we spotted a 50 foot grey whale, hot tubbing under the stars, and sunsets that left us quiet on the deck. Wonderful steps right down to an expansive beach...well equipped kitchen, comfy master also with a view and a generally amazing home with good feeling. Greg is great!"

  • Perfect family getaway

"We stayed at this place in early October which means rainy season, but with the house's many large windows (including skylights in the upstairs bedroom), we were able to watch the storms over the water from a very peaceful, relaxing, and warm house. The rain on the skylights upstairs made for an incredibly soothing night's sleep as well, but also offered a great natural way to wake up as the sun came over the trees in the morning. The gas fireplace was perfect for curling up to next to a book, and our dogs loved the fact they could go out in the front yard and run around for a bit. In the morning we were able to go to not one, but two different beaches at low tide (look at the map - you're half a block away in two directions from two different sides of the island) and pick sand dollars, look for crabs, and enjoy the sunrises. From this place, you're about a 10 minute drive from the infamous Vashon Island lighthouse on one side, and a 10 minute drive from the town of Vashon on the other, depending if you like to hike around or shop. We had six people in the house and it still felt plenty big. We cooked up a storm and the kitchen was very well stocked with all of the utensils, pots, pans, beer and wine openers you could ever need, and the grill worked great. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again!"

  • Beautiful home in outstanding location

"We recently had a family reunion in this home with guests ranging in age from 8 to 80. The location was ideal. The beach was quickly accessible from the house, just a short walk across the backyard. The backyard was very large and fenced with plenty of room for kids to play. Very private beach, lots of sand and driftwood, and the entire family was entertained for hours. Beautiful views of the water, mountains and boats. Quick drive to Fort Casey and Coupeville made for fun, quick outings. The home was very nice! Lots of bedrooms for family and a huge open plan kitchen/living area with plenty of room for everyone to gather for meals, card games and more. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we forgot :) The spaciousness of the home made it feel uncrowded, even for numerous guests. The owner was very candid about the few items that needed work or repair in the home, and our stay was very comfortable. The owner was also very helpful in providing directions and anything we needed to make our stay pleasant. I would highly recommend this home and location for anyone looking for a wonderful beach getaway!"

  • You Won't Want to Leave

"We spent three wonderful days and nights in early June at this beautiful Bainbridge Island retreat. As far as we are concerned, the only drawback is the fact that we did have to eventually leave and return to reality. Stella and Len are considerate, personable hosts who have taken great care in creating a comfortable accommodation. While there's plenty of good restaurants for dining on the island, we were happy to stop at the Town and Country Market (thanks for the recommendation, Stella!) and pick up food to prepare ourselves in the well-equipped kitchen -- and the view is more spectacular than any restaurant! And after a day of exploring the island and enjoying the view of the Seattle skyline across the Sound, we slept soundly in the very comfy bed. We could go on and on, but suffice to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hope to return again."
