  • Cool old log cabin

"This place met out needs perfectly. A quiet place for us to get away for a work retreat after some training. The three of us had some BBQ on the deck and a nice bed to crash on. Parking was tight for a big truck as there were a couple of other vehicles parked there. The person that lives above the garage was fairly quiet and kept to themselves. The owner was great to work with and everything we needed was there."

  • Wonderful Lake Sawyer Retreat

"This was our first VRBO experience, and I'm so happy it went so smoothly. The owner was quick to respond to all inquiries beforehand, and sent thorough access directions and stay information. The property was exactly as described, with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 4 children. There are stunning views of the lake from the great room and upstairs bedroom. It was impeccably clean, there is a very nice washer and dryer...which we kept busy since the kayak on the lake was the main attraction for some of our group. A few specific thoughts for how this property might work for your group: There is a large main floor bedroom that has a queen, a full, and a twin bed, just off the entrance. It also has its own patio door access to the lake. This works out perfectly for parents and two or three children. The other main floor bedroom has its own full bath, and is great for hosts/grandparents. The two upstairs bedrooms are perfect for couples or singles. The one that faces the lake is huge with beautiful expansive windows. (There are panel inserts that you can put up or take down easily, depending on whether you like early morning light, or prefer to sleep in.) There are two twin beds in the upstairs game area outside the bedrooms. These are perfect for older children. In our case, we temporarily moved one of the twin mattresses into the larger upstair bedroom, so a toddler could sleep in the same bedroom with his parents with plenty of room to spare. There is a powder room upstairs as well. While we did little cooking, the kitchen is spacious with nice appliances, and appointed with common cooking/prep equipment. A final note about the responsiveness of the owner. After arriving home, we discovered that one of the children in our group left behind a treasured toy stuffed dog. We contacted the owner, who promptly tracked it down and sent it to us at no cost. While some might think this meant a lot to the little one in our group to have her friend back."

  • Great home and location

"Our group of 9 loved the ample space of this home. Everything needed was available for our use just like if we were home. Grocery stores and restaurants are within 10 minutes. Everyone should visit The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen. The location was perfect. It was 30 minutes from SEA-TAC and far enough outside of Seattle to not have to do deal with the ridiculous traffic."
