  • Cozy and quaint

"A great, comfortable place in an amazing location. The Abode offered numerous outdoor sitting areas to enjoy majestic views and watch the ferries rolling in. We loved to explore the beach and appreciated the chance to use their kayaks. We grilled out and made the most of the kitchen (which provided all the basics). There are lots of steps to the beach, which was hard on my mother-in-law who visited us from Seattle. The owners offered a pack-n-play, which was great but I would say it's not ideal for toddlers. None the less, we loved the location and the accommodations. We would certainly stay again!"

  • Gem is the right word! Simply amazing accommodations!

""Cabin" is not an accurate description for these luxurious accommodations! Beth and Phil have thought of absolutely everything needed for an incredible experience. The kitchen is well outfitted with all cookware, dishes and utensils you could possibly need and of high quality. The linens and towels also of high quality and in good supply. Their furnishings and decor are of exquisite taste and comfort. I have worked for 26 years for a 5-Star, 5-Diamond Resort so know quality when I see it and this is it! They even have a full folder of maps and information of things to do, where to dine, where to shop on the dining table. Not only are the accommodations superb, but Beth and Phil are both very welcoming and responsive in all of our interactions with them. I highly recommend this true gem on the Hood Canal! We had a truly memorable family weekend getaway and can't wait to return!"

  • Wonderful

"We had a wonderful time at the Beach House. We are a family of seven. We enjoyed the comfy beds, walks on the beach, the hot tub, and an amazing sunset our first night. We talked with the friendly neighbors on both sides of the house. Everything was exactly as advertised and the house had a very well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels. We used the house as a base for a couple days in the North Cascades, and we also spent time at the State Parks on Whidbey Island. It was nice to have the isolation of the beach and the conveniences of Oak Harbor. Our favorite brunch was at the Island Cafe in Oak Harbor, and our favorite dinner was at The Front Street Grill in Coupeville. We would definitely come back again!"

  • Best sunset and ship lanes views!

"Amazing island gettaway for urban dwellers! We discovered another property of the owners a few years ago for an anniversary weekend and have been back on numerous occasions. Rain or shine, winter or summer, this is the place to unwind and literally watch the ships go by. This anniversary we ended up at this sweet little cottage instead of their other home and fell in love with it. Adorable cottage with a view of the water the entire length of the property. We grilled on the deck, relaxed in the hot tub under the stars, walked our dog down to the beach, and best of all, sat and talked while we waited for more big ships to pass by us. Easy trips to quaint neighboring towns with shops and great restaurants. The hosts gave us everything we needed down to soft robs and privacy. I can't wait to come back again!"
