  • Perfect for our family of 12!

"We feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful vacation rental for our end-of-summer family get-away. As a family of eight adults and four children under the age of five, we were in need of a place that would allow us enough space to accommodate a variety of needs. We were also hoping to find a spot on the beach. This rental provided us with all of that and more. With five bedrooms and a separate bunk room, there were enough beds to accommodate each of the four couples, while the children were quite excited about the opportunity to sleep together in the bunk room with three bunk beds. The layout of the house was perfect with a playroom of toys for the kids to play with while the adults rooted on the Seahawks on one of the two tvs. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals together. The weather was perfect and allowed us to spend a lot of our time outside on the wonderful, large deck and grass area. The beach area was ideal with a wonderful area to explore when the tide was out and easy access for the canoes we brought with us when the tide was in. There were three hammocks which the children loved. As to the immediate area, we found it ideal for our purposes. The children brought riding toys with them which, with supervision, they rode to the Iverson Spit Waterfront Preserve located at the end of the paved road. There is a large, sandy, beach area there and some short hiking trails behind for further exploration. As might be apparent, we had a great time on this vacation. Matt and Emily were easy to work with and responded in a very timely manner to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this beach house to anyone looking for a fun get-away."

  • Gorgeous location, commodious quarters, terrific host

"The wedding of our son and his girlfriend brought together 10 members of our two families for nearly a week; the Hansville house was an exceptional fit for our needs. The bride and groom had the elegant master suite on the top floor and the other four couples each had their own space. The chef's kitchen accommodated a real professional chef who catered the wedding. The magical moment itself occurred on the beach, down a short path from the house, while the generous lawn allowed easy placement of tables and seating for more than 60, as well as a buffet and bar area. We spent many enjoyable hours soaking in the fabulous views of the Olympics to our west and Mt. Rainier to our east from the spacious deck. The home is comfortable, super clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Holly Smith was a delightful and helpful host. For nearly a year, she answered myriad questions about how to organize a wedding from afar and she connected us with reliable vendors and local providers. We were in heaven during our six days there and all 10 of us agreed that it would be the perfect location for another family get together. Thank you, Holly!"

  • This rental exceeded our expectations.

"This was the first time we rented a property instead of staying at a hotel/motel on our vacation to Port Orchard to visit relatives. The feeling we had right from the beginning was that we were home, even if for only several days, and immediately felt the freedom and relaxation of being in our own place. Everything we needed, except food, was provided in ample supply. The hot tub was especially nice and was the perfect touch to a long day. The beds were very comfortable, as was the living room furniture to sit and visit or watch TV. We enjoyed the large dining room table which accomadated everyone with plenty of elbow room. The water view from the back deck is something we are not use to and was very picturesque. The ferry terminal at Southworth was very close and made the to and from the airport that much easier. We found it easy to get to other locations during our stay with plenty of restaurant choices to choose from. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit."
