  • Breathtaking view and beautiful home!

"My family and I have stayed at KVI twice in the last year for a wedding, vacation, etc. it comfortably sleeps 15 people all with some privacy. Huge kitchen with family seating, all the amenities you could ask for (even for kids and outdoor activities on the water). We will definitely be back!"

  • Vashon Island Gem

"For me, Vashon Island is a magical place. Staying at Jim and Christine's beautiful house further enhanced our experience on the Island. The house was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We appreciated that it is located so close the Ferry Dock. It was very convenient, yet it felt very removed and remote. The house is situated around the point from the ferries so it was incredibly quiet. There was no ferry or traffic noise at all. The house is RIGHT on the water, the sound of the waves were calming, peaceful and quite mesmerizing. We really enjoyed sitting out on the bulkhead listening to the waves and taking in the beautiful views. We were very fortunate to have two Orca whales swim right past us! They put on quite a show, what an impressive Northwest experience! The views from the house were spectacular! The views were much more magnificent than what was captured in the photos. Mt. Ranier is perfectly framed by the expansive main floor windows; it was unbelievably majestic! The lay-out of the house is very nice. The kitchen, dining and living room have a nice easy flow. The open floor plan would be very conducive for gatherings with friends/family. The house has a great "hang-out factor" It's perfect for relaxing, playing games, cooking, walking the beach and in our case, whale-watching. This house is unique in that it would be a fantastic get-away in all types of weather. I imagine that it would be very dramatic in stormy weather! I would love to be there to watch the storms from such a comfortable interior. When we were there, we had a mixture of clear, calm weather and some rain. Even in the rain, it was nice to be outside on the covered decks! Jim and Christine provide everything needed for either inside or outside enjoyment. We took advantage of the perfectly clean hot tub and we thoroughly enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub. We didn't get a chance to swim or canoe, but we did enjoy a few walks on the beach. Jim and Christine take pride in being gracious hosts, and it shows! They were very accommodating and offered some very nice welcoming touches, I would highly recommend staying at this incredible home! It is a gem! Thank you, Jim and Christine!"

  • Magical Beach House with All the Comforts of Home

"Wish we could have stayed longer! This beach cabin had everything we hoped for when visiting Vashon. The location is convenient while also being private and peaceful. The interior is fully equipped and furnishing are both comfortable and beautiful. The expansive exterior deck has a view of the harbor activity and there is easy access to the water for those who want to join in (kayaks and paddle board included in the rental). Erin communicated with us every step of the way and had the beach cabin clean and ready for our arrival...including fresh flowers and treats in the kitchen. This is truly a perfect beach get-away; we would change nothing! Hope to return! Meredith"

  • Perfect family getaway

"We stayed at this place in early October which means rainy season, but with the house's many large windows (including skylights in the upstairs bedroom), we were able to watch the storms over the water from a very peaceful, relaxing, and warm house. The rain on the skylights upstairs made for an incredibly soothing night's sleep as well, but also offered a great natural way to wake up as the sun came over the trees in the morning. The gas fireplace was perfect for curling up to next to a book, and our dogs loved the fact they could go out in the front yard and run around for a bit. In the morning we were able to go to not one, but two different beaches at low tide (look at the map - you're half a block away in two directions from two different sides of the island) and pick sand dollars, look for crabs, and enjoy the sunrises. From this place, you're about a 10 minute drive from the infamous Vashon Island lighthouse on one side, and a 10 minute drive from the town of Vashon on the other, depending if you like to hike around or shop. We had six people in the house and it still felt plenty big. We cooked up a storm and the kitchen was very well stocked with all of the utensils, pots, pans, beer and wine openers you could ever need, and the grill worked great. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again!"
