  • Beautiful Mid-Century home conveniently located

"Our family stayed here for a wedding on the island and it couldn't have been better. The home is conveniently located near town so everything is a short walk/ drive though removed enough to feel very private. The house is a beautiful example of mid-century architecture, with warm and well appointed furnishings. All the beds and were comfortable and everything worked well. There is a large back yard with space for the kids to play. We look forward to staying here next time we're on the Island."

  • A unique home in a stunning location!

"This is a beautifully decorated beach home. The kitchen and living areas are well equipped, with cozy family spaces. In the cold February wind and rain, the fireplace and plentiful firewood was a wonderful bonus! Bedrooms are great, beds are super comfortable, with views from every room. It was a little challenging to find safe spaces for a pregnant daughter and 3 grand kids under age 6 to sleep without stairs, but we made it work, and the owners were very helpful. The views and beach activities, even with winter weather, were exactly what I wanted for my family."

  • Lovely location!

"Great location with a beautiful view. Judy was very friendly and helpful, and her historic home was clean with plenty of space for our 10 person family. We had campfires in the evening, and enjoyed grilling on the porch. Comfortable accommodations, and nice, open spaces for family meals or just to relax and enjoy the view."

  • Cozy Cottage on the water

"This is our fifth stay on Vashon and our second stay at Clam Cove. Clam Cove is definitely our favorite with its three tiers of lovely outdoor space for relaxing or entertaining. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the upper deck, have dinner on the middeck and a glass of wine by the fire on the lower patio at the water's edge, all with beautiful views of the sound and local wildlife. During our stay we saw humming birds, deer, a pair of eagles, seals, otters and one evening we were entertained by a whale! Both the indoor dining area and living room have expansive views of the water where you can enjoy watching the ferry come and go even on rainy days. The living room is stocked with a generous compliment of books, music and some games for quiet relaxation. The cottage is located on the quiet side of the island but just steps from the Tacoma ferry. You are about a 10 minute drive from Burton Hamlet and Quartermaster Harbor where you can rent kayaks for an afternoon, 15 minutes from the famous Minglement coffee roaster and grocery and 20 minutes from downtown Vashon which boasts some wonderful little restaurants. You can also explore Maury Island and visit the lighthouse at Robinson Point, also no more than 20 minutes away. Seattle ferries are on the north end of the island for anyone wanting a day in the beautiful city of Seattle. We very much enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to staying again next year."
