  • Great Place for a Getaway!

"My husband and I took our first trip to the Pacific NW and after spending a couple days in Seattle, proceeded out to Whidbey Island for a long 3 day weekend at Mark and Colleen's Bush Point Hideaway. What a wonderful location! The views across the water are visible from inside the house through 2 large picture windows and also from the front porch where we often sat and relaxed. Even in what could be called the "off-season" we found it a beautiful place to be. The hot tub, also located on the large deck, was relaxing in the cool evening and everything that we could have wanted was clean, organized and available in the home. Beds and other furniture were very comfortable, cooking pots, pans, utensils etc. came in handy when we chose to cook and stay in one evening. The home provided a wonderful place for us to simply relax and unwind from normally hectic lives. Like other reviewers have noted, we found ourselves waking early to watch the sunrise and loved to hear the numerous birds chirping outside. We even had a few deer wander by to complete the tranquil experience. We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties in the past, and this one certainly did not disappoint. We are already talking about when we may be able to return some time in the future! Thanks go out to our great hosts, Mark and Colleen."

  • Overall a great getaway!

"The cabin was wonderful! Very charming and super relaxing. The floors are a little off and it threw me off at first, but I quickly got used to it. The kitchen is well equipped, bed is very comfortable, and our dog loved the big yard. The two things that kept it from five stars are the road noise when you're hanging out outside(inside is perfectly quiet) and the lack of air conditioning or any fans we could find. The cabin did actually stay cooler than I would have thought, but on the days it reached the high 80's it did get a little uncomfortable."

  • Surprise Vacation for the Wife

"Brought my wife to the Driftwood cabin on Whidbey Island for two nights. We are celebrating our 6th anniversary next month but wanted to take advantage of the fair guarantee on good September weather. We were amazed! Not only was the cabin clean and cozy and offered all the amenities, the weather provided one of the most amazing sunsets we have ever seen. We sat out on the deck for the first half of the sunset and then plopped into the hot tub for the last half. We were relaxed after only the first night. Spent the next morning wandering the private beach. We were the only ones walking the beach! Plenty of things to do and great food in the nearby towns and the ferry terminal is only a few minutes away for the ride to Port Townsend. You couldn't find a more perfect location for a beach getaway. The owner, Greg, made everything so easy and we are looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Quite a find!!"

  • Perfect for large groups and kids!

"Our recent stay at this beautiful Whidbey Island home was wonderful! First of all, the view cannot be beat. We spent every evening on the deck, eating dinner, using the fire pit and just enjoying the expansive views. Our kids also loved the hot tub. The location on the water is ideal. There's a rather steep staircase (128 steps to be precise) to the beach but that did not deter our children, who spent hours there every day playing in the sand. They loved how private it was; had the whole thing to themselves! The home is well appointed; we cooked almost every meal there. The game room in the guest house was an added bonus. The property manager was extremely attentive and easy to work with. I asked about extra blankets and an iron; he brought them by the house himself the next day. All in all, I couldn't ask for more in a rental home and if the opportunity ever presented itself, my family and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!"
