  • Immediately felt at home!

"We loved being able to soak in everything that Port Townsend has to offer while staying in this charming victorian home. We have enjoyed this gem several times over the years & recommend it anyone who truly wants to fully experience this area. The home welcomes its guests with warm victorian character; a bright sunny kitchen/dinette to enjoy your morning tea/coffee, clean well furnished bedrooms (3), bathrooms (2), kitchen, dining room and laundry room. At the end of a day out-and-about, the large deck off the kitchen is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine while looking across the bay. We were able to easily walk to the bakery, farmers market, uptown shops/restaurants, downtown shops/restaurants, concerts on the dock, movies in the best theater ever (Starlight), Maritime Center, marina (beautiful wooden boats), live theater, live music and wonderful people. The owner provided area information and resources for us to make our stay the best it could possibly be! If you are looking for a welcoming, comfortable place to stay while enjoying all that Port Townsend has to offer, this is the place! Expect to take home wonderful memories and the desire to come back as often as you can."

  • Beautiful farm retreat

"My extended family just enjoyed a delightful 4 day stay at Milky Way Farm. All of us hated for it to end. My delight began as soon as I walked through the door of this authentic but beautifully updated farmhouse. It brought back so many memories of my visits to grandpa's farm. And the huge back porch proved the perfect place for our morning rendezvous and evening of fun. During the day we explored the beach and swam in the nearby lake. We need to go back to explore the trails because we ran out of time for all there is to do. everyone--5 months through...Nana---had a great time."

  • Gorgeous location, commodious quarters, terrific host

"The wedding of our son and his girlfriend brought together 10 members of our two families for nearly a week; the Hansville house was an exceptional fit for our needs. The bride and groom had the elegant master suite on the top floor and the other four couples each had their own space. The chef's kitchen accommodated a real professional chef who catered the wedding. The magical moment itself occurred on the beach, down a short path from the house, while the generous lawn allowed easy placement of tables and seating for more than 60, as well as a buffet and bar area. We spent many enjoyable hours soaking in the fabulous views of the Olympics to our west and Mt. Rainier to our east from the spacious deck. The home is comfortable, super clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Holly Smith was a delightful and helpful host. For nearly a year, she answered myriad questions about how to organize a wedding from afar and she connected us with reliable vendors and local providers. We were in heaven during our six days there and all 10 of us agreed that it would be the perfect location for another family get together. Thank you, Holly!"

  • Amazing Sunsets!!!

"Tucked away in the "One Hundred Acre Woods" this house sits right on the beach and is truly perfect for all ages! The sunsets are AMAZING. The fire pit sits right up off the beach and is angled just right to watch the beach, sunsets, and dogs running along the waterside. The hot tub reminded us a wine barrel, so of course we jumped right in while drinking our wine! ;) Deck was perfect, hot tub was awesome (even the kids loved it!), volleyball was fun, and we even partook in using the little dingy boat. We celebrated my step-dad's 60th birthday - we had a total of 13 people: 8 adults, 3 kiddos (ages 10 & 7), 2 toddlers (14 & 18 months), and one very happy dog! Everyone fit perfectly and we had zero complaints! Well.... that's not true. The kids complained that they had a hard time making sand castles since the sand was a bit different from what they're use to, but they still attempted about 80 sand castles and they perfected the moat and seashell collecting, so the adults were happy. ;) 5 "bedrooms" total: three upstairs, one downstairs, and a den. I put bedrooms in quotes because the den is not technically a bedroom, but it should be considered one! It is away from the living room and the kitchen (where everyone hangs out), has an awesome mattress inside the couch, and has shutting doors! It is a nice big room with plenty of privacy and space. One bedroom with a queen sized bed downstairs with a private bathroom. Three bedrooms upstairs: One master bedroom (with a little bed underneath the window, so a little kid could sleep there!) with an AWESOME deck and telescope, another bedroom had 3 twin sized beds (perfect for kids -- not really adult sized), and the last bedroom had 2 queen sized beds. My husband, our baby, and my sister shared this room and it was perfect. ONE bathroom with a shower upstairs, ONE bathroom with a shower downstairs (this is the private bathroom to the bedroom), and ONE half bathroom downstairs. LOTS of room. Living room was huge, dining room table was big, kitchen is big with lots of counter space too. I went running every single day -- lots of places to go run. Just start running and turn either left or right onto Mutiny Bay road and you won't be disappointed. Deer, HILLS, waterfront, bunnies, and lots of beautiful scenery. We ate at: Patrons Mexican Food (good mango margaritas!), Charmers Bistro (highly recommend!), and Freeland Cafe (yummy mussels!). LOVED THE HOUSE AND THE OWNERS!"
