  • Hidden Gem of Relaxation and Rejuvenation

"We've stayed twice now (Spring and Fall) are continually mesmerized by the Cabin. The location is quiet and secluded, but with plenty to do. We typically bring games (cards, dice, board games) to play. There are games, books, and puzzles provided by the hosts as well. Lots of beautiful roads to walk and a canoe to explore the lake. Outdoor fire pit and an indoor fireplace make for a cozy 'glam-camping' experience. There is little to no cell service at the cabin, no TVs, and no internet. Its a forced blackout of tech and the break does the soul good. There are also so many state parks nearby, hiking trails, and the magical pies/food of Whidbey Island Pies and Greenbank Farms is not to be missed. Its an amazing getaway and we can't wait to come back!"

  • Cute, clean, comforable!

"This house provided the perfect place to call home for a week. The kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans and dishes. It was great to have access to the washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the living room furniture and TV provided a perfect place to relax after a long day. Everything was pleasantly clean. We had our morning coffee on the deck every morning...when it wasn’t raining…it was perfect. The Lake Stevens area is quaint with a small town feel. There is close access to shopping from a big chain grocery store to the many road side farmers markets. Lake 22 is just down the road and provides a great day of hiking. The drive into Seattle is not too far and made for great all day excursions from Pikes Place Market one day and renting scooters in downtown Seattle to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island for more scootering, shopping and seafood. And the homeowner responded to my e-mails, was accommodating and easy to work with. Our family had a wonderful time."

  • Perfect family getaway

"We stayed at this place in early October which means rainy season, but with the house's many large windows (including skylights in the upstairs bedroom), we were able to watch the storms over the water from a very peaceful, relaxing, and warm house. The rain on the skylights upstairs made for an incredibly soothing night's sleep as well, but also offered a great natural way to wake up as the sun came over the trees in the morning. The gas fireplace was perfect for curling up to next to a book, and our dogs loved the fact they could go out in the front yard and run around for a bit. In the morning we were able to go to not one, but two different beaches at low tide (look at the map - you're half a block away in two directions from two different sides of the island) and pick sand dollars, look for crabs, and enjoy the sunrises. From this place, you're about a 10 minute drive from the infamous Vashon Island lighthouse on one side, and a 10 minute drive from the town of Vashon on the other, depending if you like to hike around or shop. We had six people in the house and it still felt plenty big. We cooked up a storm and the kitchen was very well stocked with all of the utensils, pots, pans, beer and wine openers you could ever need, and the grill worked great. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again!"

  • Serenity now!

"This is the third time we have rented this cabin. It is so comfortable - feels like home the minute you walk in the door! The low bank beach access and view from the house is unparalleled! The view of the water, Mt Baker, and Whidbey Island is breathtaking. Throw in the passing ships, sunrise, sunset, and the abundance of stars - need I say more? We never miss taking the walk to the lighthouse and wandering the trails around the bird sanctuary. As far as the cabin goes, it is clean and the kitchen well stocked. There is plenty of room to relax and watch the boats pass by - both inside and out. There is a small store nearby for emergency goods, but would suggest picking up your groceries before you arrive - once you walk in the door, you will not want to leave!"
