  • All Around Great Place, Awesome for Our Large Group

"We arrived tired and irritable after a long flight from the East Coast, rental car woes, and kids who needed naps. We weren't in very good spirits and just needed to chill. There were a few things we needed and the owner, Misti, was so sweet and helpful getting us settled. She was just a doll, and we could tell right away that she took our comfort seriously. We felt bad for being so grumbly but she understood and didn't take offense. She was quick to point out one deck chair that had a 1" strip of webbing missing and we laughed at how that could be an issue. She mentioned a guest had left a bad review about it. At that moment I made a mental note to leave her property a good review, since we all know it's only the complainers who ever feel inspired enough to log on and gripe about stuff. The manor couldn't have been more perfect for our large family. The kids just loved the horses, pool, the game room, the trails, the pokemon, the volleyball. Us big kids loved the hot tub, beautiful views, comfortable beds, and ease of getting the whole family in one place and comfortably so. The house isn't perfect, but we are talking minor stuff. Like one drawer was a little hard to pull out in the kitchen and the outdoor bar had a small tear in the awning. And in the spirit of full disclosure we did have to ask for extra bar towels in the kitchen and we ran out of TP during our stay, which the caretaker was quick to replenish. Certainly nothing that could detract from the gorgeous house and grounds, unless you are a complete jerk looking for a problem. We felt very lucky to have this house to ourselves, and loved every minute of it. Oh, did I forget the blackberries? There are blackberry bushes with the largest berries I have ever seen around the property. We made 4 delicious pies during our stay! The kids got to ride, we had a really fun scavenger hunt, the runners in our family loved the Chehalis trail so near by. I can't say enough great things about this house and farm. The week went way too fast, but we are sure to come back!"

  • Wonderful whirlwind tour!

"This home was in a perfect location to allow us to get to Seattle, Mt Rainer, Mt St Helens, the ocean and rainforest. It was a great relaxing home to come back to each evening, and the home was set up to be very comfortable and clean. The owners are very helpful and friendly - and the information provided was helpful for getting around and feeling 'at home'. Very glad we stayed here!"

  • Perfect getaway property!

"We chose this place to stay during Oysterfest weekend to accommodate three couples. If you are looking for quiet, seclusion, privacy, fantastic views, saltwater beach, then this is the place for you! It is remote, but more than worth the twenty minute drive from Shelton. We were treated to jumping porpoises, harbor seals, seabirds, eagles, and a couple hummingbirds checking us out while greeting the sunrise over coffee on the deck. The kitchen is well-supplied with cookware, dishes, and plenty of glassware for a weekend of meals if you just want to stroll the beach or relax at home during your stay. The kitchen, dining area, and living room all offer wonderful views of Hammersley Inlet. There was a small supply of firewood on the front step for the living room fireplace which was perfect for taking off the chill after a wet day at Oysterfest. Klay's Burger Shack (best halibut burgers on the planet!) and Spencer Lake Tavern are ten minutes away if cooking dinner is not on your agenda. We highly recommend Smoking Mo's BBQ (we grabbed some takeout to enjoy at the house) and The Strip steakhouse (reservations recommended) in downtown Shelton."
