  • Fabulous place for a small family reunion!

"A superb treehouse retreat complete with passes to the country club and its very nice 9 hole golf course! With beautiful summer weather we made great use of the grill and the deck. Kitchen was small but well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Hot water never ran out. Only two small negatives: We missed having access to local TV stations, especially as we were there during the Rio Olympics, and WiFi. And the table lamp in the bedroom with bunks on the main floor was not working. Those issues paled in light of the wonderful time we (11 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed at this great house on this fabulous island! We loved the hiking trails at both Andy's Wildlife Park (complete with bear scat and 3 small snakes) and Andy's Marine Park, and found a fabulous "Old Swimming Hole" across Lake Josephine. We could walk down to the park with zip line, playground and two nice tennis courts. We want to return to do more investigating of the island. High recommendations!"

  • Wonderful Gem!

"This is a beautiful location with a home that accommodated our group perfectly! We had 6 adults and 2 children (both age 5) and there was plenty of room for everyone. We happened to stay on a weekend with temps of 96-97 degrees, so we were in the water a lot!! It was fantastic to have the air conditioner at night and when we needed to get out of the sun and cool off during the day. Although the home is dated, everything worked and was very clean. We loved the easy beach access and our boys were fascinated by all the boats and barges. Our first night, there was a gorgeous harvest moon and we had s'mores at the fire pit. This is our favorite home on the water now!! Needless to say, we'll be back..."

  • Breathtaking Experience!!!

"My wife and I were looking for a woodsy place to stay on the water and experience the northwest at its fullest in just a few days for our ten year anniversary. The Hideaway was perfect! I can say that the write up and description is 100% accurate. Within the first hour, we saw sea otters, gray harbor seals, and a whale spout in the distance as the sun went down!! The next morning when the tide went out, starfish of every color on the banks. Being from the other side of the country, we found ourselves just looking at the water for hours. Just incredible. Extremely private, there was no one around for miles, and at the same time, the house is very easy to find. The house itself is beautiful and clean on the inside, all updated and the beds are super comfortable. Lastly, if you're an oyster lover, a memory that will last you a lifetime is being able to walk out at low tide and collect your own! Build a fire and roast them outside. Just amazing!! We would recommend The Hideaway to anyone and will definitely return."
