  • Beautiful, relaxing getaway!

"What a gem of a place, close to home but with that "far away" feeling. This home is beautifully appointed with everything you could want in a vacation home. The kitchen is perfect for preparing family meals, and the large farm style dining table is a great place to enjoy them. The bay is so very quiet, you think you are in another world! We enjoyed watching the seals swim right beneath the home in the shallow water, and an eagle graced the sky on multiple occasions. We highly recommend this home if you are looking for a peaceful getaway with great ambience! A great jumping off place to visit the beaches on the Key Peninsula! A winner in our books!"

  • Wonderful place

"You can't go wrong staying at this cute home. The view is amazing and the yard is beautiful. Everything that was needed was in the house. On arrival we were greeted with homemade brownies and a nice bottle of red wine. The owners were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this cottage for your next vacation."

  • Breathtaking Experience!!!

"My wife and I were looking for a woodsy place to stay on the water and experience the northwest at its fullest in just a few days for our ten year anniversary. The Hideaway was perfect! I can say that the write up and description is 100% accurate. Within the first hour, we saw sea otters, gray harbor seals, and a whale spout in the distance as the sun went down!! The next morning when the tide went out, starfish of every color on the banks. Being from the other side of the country, we found ourselves just looking at the water for hours. Just incredible. Extremely private, there was no one around for miles, and at the same time, the house is very easy to find. The house itself is beautiful and clean on the inside, all updated and the beds are super comfortable. Lastly, if you're an oyster lover, a memory that will last you a lifetime is being able to walk out at low tide and collect your own! Build a fire and roast them outside. Just amazing!! We would recommend The Hideaway to anyone and will definitely return."

  • Wonderful Gem!

"This is a beautiful location with a home that accommodated our group perfectly! We had 6 adults and 2 children (both age 5) and there was plenty of room for everyone. We happened to stay on a weekend with temps of 96-97 degrees, so we were in the water a lot!! It was fantastic to have the air conditioner at night and when we needed to get out of the sun and cool off during the day. Although the home is dated, everything worked and was very clean. We loved the easy beach access and our boys were fascinated by all the boats and barges. Our first night, there was a gorgeous harvest moon and we had s'mores at the fire pit. This is our favorite home on the water now!! Needless to say, we'll be back..."
