  • Wonderful location, and beautiful home.

"Our stay in Seattle was business related, and this home fit our needs perfectly. There were six people in our group staying in Seattle for a Food Show put on by FSA, and everyone had plenty of space to spread out in this very spacious home. We came together for meals while discussing our plans which was very accommodating with the openness of the kitchen and living room. During our free time we walked down on Alki Beach taking in the views of Seattle, while others made last minute appointments to have their hair done at the salon within walking distance. We loved our stay, and recommend this location to others looking to stay in or near Seattle."

  • Wonderful visit.

"Our stay at the West Seattle Carriage House was great. The bed in particular, was super comfortable! The kitchenette was great and had everything we needed, and the VIEW was amazing! Sometimes Mt. Rainier is covered with clouds, but we were lucky and were greeted with a spectacular view of the mountain the first morning we woke up there. The accommodations were very clean and cozy, and Nancy had all kinds of great reading materials available to us. We were so comfortable! The area is beautiful and is a nice place to sneak away from the bustle of the city and relax and collect your thoughts. It was simple to get to from the airport, and an easy jumping off point for a variety of locations. While there we went to see a play in Renton, WA (Jekyll and Hyde the musical!), we hiked Wallace Falls - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - and do it on a weekday if you can), We went to wineries near Woodinville, we visited friends on Mercer Island, and of course we spent time in Seattle downtown, and neighborhoods north of downtown, also city center, and the Ballard Locks (also Highly recommend!). All easy to get to from the Carriage House. Part of the time we took an Uber and part of the time we had a car and used navigation, no problems. The Carriage House is far enough from the city so that you feel like you can really get some rest, but close enough that you get up every day excited for your next adventure. One day we went downtown in our rental car, and parked so that we could spend time in city center at the Chihuly Garden and Glass, and we found a parking garage one block away and paid $12 event parking - not too bad and very convenient (cheaper than a cab or uber, and easier than public transportation - though we would have tried that b/c the transportation there is very good). We were on the go a lot so it took us a couple of days to meet Nancy and her husband, but when we did we had very nice conversations with them both. The courtyard and gardens in the adjoining yard between Nancy's house and the Carriage House are gorgeous! We enjoyed walking around looking at the flowers and the garden details. Whenever we drove our rental car into the city, we didn't find the traffic or parking to be as bad as we were expecting. I guess we got lucky! We were after all, on vacation, so avoided the rush hour times. All in all, we loved our stay at the West Seattle Carriage House, and highly recommend it."

  • Great vacation rental

""Sweet Suite" was a great place to stay while visiting in Seattle. Check in and check out was easy. The location was perfect, within walking distance to most of Seattle's major tourist attractions. We didn't take the car out of the garage until the day we left. The fact that a garage space came with the rental was a bonus. The unit itself was very nice. There was a washer and dryer in the unit, which comes in handy. Kay and Matt provided the kitchen and bathroom necessities, laundry detergent, books, and games for our use. The building itself has great amenities such as a pool, hot tub, and a work out room. I will check the availability of "Sweet Suite" on our future visits to Seattle. Thanks again Kay and Matt!!"
