  • Great stay in the heart of Ballard

"The house was quite comfortable for our family of 5, plus my parents. The location is unbeatable - 5 minute walk to the grocery store (and candy/ice cream store!), a few minutes longer to the Ballard Locks. Great restaurants all over the place. The Ballard Seafood festival was happening just down the street, with lots of great food to survey. Parking can be a little tricky - the place has a spot for one car, but if you have a second car you might need to be patient to hunt down a street spot."

  • Great Location, quite and well appointed!

"We were in town for a wedding so loved the central location. Everything was just as described, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, much more so than usual rentals. We really appreciated that so many things like coffee, sugar etc. were already stocked. Wonderful, quaint neighborhood, we hope to return some time when we are not so busy with a wedding."

  • Clean, quiet and spacious... perfect for our family

"Our family of six adults was able to spread out and relax comfortably in this town home on a cozy, quiet street in Ballard. The amenities met or exceeded our expectations. It was nice to find that some staples were provided like hand soap, trash bags, coffee filters, laundry supplies and plenty of towels (bath and kitchen). The radio (already tuned to NPR) was a nice touch. We really appreciated the off-street parking space that came with the rental. This is an attached unit but we never heard a sound from the neighbors. The owner was available immediately to help us when we had a question. We were happy to discover a supermarket and coffee shops very nearby. The walkability was fantastic. We enjoyed excellent restaurants (Moshi Moshi Sushi, The Other Coast Cafe, Miro Tea, Hot Cakes, Java Bean Coffee, Ballard Bros. Seafood and Mighty-O Donuts) and entertainment (The Ballard Locks, Stash Pot Shop {hey, it's legal here}, The Noble Fir) without leaving the area. Ballard is a small town with a big sparkle. When we wanted to go downtown we found the RapidRide bus to be an easy and affordable commute. This is a home and a location I would return to."

  • Family stay at the beach house...

"Charming rustic cottage with all the amenities right of the water. Amazing views of Elliot Bay with ship traffic, Mt Ranier, Bainbridge Island, Olympic Peninsula, and a portion of Downtown Seattle minus the Space Needle. Access to rocky shoreline when tide is out. Upper deck and lower concrete patio with ample room for all right on the water. View of the water from all rooms. Floral bouquet greeted us. Fully furnished residence, clean linens and towels. William, our host, was gracious, friendly, helpful, and responsive via phone, text, and e-mail. Visitors need only bring food and beverages. The lower level of the home is clean yet musty, (perhaps to be expected for the location). Small parking spot for one vehicle, we had a minivan and had people exit before parking. Solid steps leading down to residence which were lit at night, about twenty-five steps total (one person in our party is over seventy and carefully managed the stairs just fine). Fifteen minute drive to Downtown Seattle, less that five to Magnolia. All were happy with our stay. We would not hesitate to book the residence again. Happy travels, Phil & Elizabeth MacColl Huss"
