  • One of the Nicest HomeAway Properties

"Not sure that I can describe this special property in words alone. It is truly a magical place. Our only regret was that we only stayed there for 3 nights. Both my husband and daughter and I kept saying that we wished we had stayed longer and would have easily have cut out the first portion of our vacation to stay at Gina's home. From the moment we walked in and saw the stunning views to the calming effect that the house had on us, it was love at first sight. This was exactly the right location for us to unwind from our normal hectic L.A. life. Gina left us treats and a personalized welcome note (which I have kept by the way) on the kitchen table which was a nice touch. The furnishings in her home are actually nicer than what you see in the pictures. The rooms are decorated very tastefully and are immaculate. The kitchen had all of the supplies that we needed and the bathrooms were also stocked with plenty of paper goods, towels and even small items that we may have forgotten at home. Some travelers mentioned the nearby train track and at first I was a bit concerned about the noise because I am an extremely light sleeper. However, I have to say that it did not bother me one bit and I was never awakened by the train going by. Overall, the neighborhood is very quiet and when you are inside, all you hear is complete silence. We arrived when there was a bit of a heat wave, however, the house stayed very cool and comfortable the entire time we were there. We were also very pleased to meet Gina once during our stay-- not because there were any issues with anything, but we ran into her when she was watering her plants. She is a very lovely person and I'm glad I was able to meet her in person. We are all looking forward to our next visit to Seattle and staying at this very special property. Thanks again Gina for sharing your wonderful home with us!"

  • Tiny house was just the perfect fit!

"I've spent the last 21 years visiting family in Seattle. It was our first time renting our own place, such a great decision! The cottage was perfect! The views phenomenal, watching the ferries, the cruise ships, sailboats, sunsets, sunrises so so relaxing! My girls made friends with the seagulls, walked at low tide to Maggie's Bluff restaurant, spent time in the village and enjoyed their farmers market on Saturday's. it was heaven for 10 days and we never wanted to leave! Thank you Mary for working with me on one of the best times we've had there! Can't wait to come back!"

  • Beautiful and Peaceful House

"We rented this house a few days prior to leaving Seattle on a cruise to Alaska. Two couples joined us. The house was PERFECT! We all wanted to stay longer. Each couple had their privacy with a comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen and gathering areas were spacious and beautifully furnished. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed daily walks along the sound and up and down many hills (great exercise). The Magnolia village stores and restaurants were close and convenient, and downtown Seattle was a short drive away. We were able to see Mt. Ranier, the sound, and snow capped mountains from our bedroom balcony, and the space needle from the rear balcony. We are from the east coast and especially enjoyed the fresh air sans humidity!"

  • Nice house, close to bus line

"My family of 5 stayed for a couple of days while visiting the Seattle area. The house was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. It was only 1 block to the bus line (bus 24, direct to downtown), and across from the public library. It has a car port for parking (I had a Chrysler minivan). The house has two king sized beds that are very comfortable. any more than 4 and there is a a sofa-bed in the living room."
