  • Amazing Place to Stay!!

"Elaine was such a phenomenal host. I honestly can't put into words how hospitable and welcoming she was. A wealth of information about the Seattle area, and just a great person, in general. The apartment was also very nice. Great big main room with a table to eat at and an Apple TV. Kitchen was spacious with plenty of room for cooking. Pictures are very accurate to the apartment. I was here for an extended stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat There was one day when it was snowing pretty hard, and Elaine messaged me with an alternate route to my work and wishing me safe travels; it doesn't get more compassionate than that. Just an overall great stay. Thank You Elaine!!"

  • Wonderful family retreat

"The house was beautiful and spacious. There was plenty of room for four of us, with the master suite upstairs. The wide-open bedroom and gorgeous bathroom were wonderful! We prepared several meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the location of the neighborhood. There was great shopping close by and it was easy to get to I5 to get downtown. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly."

  • Northwest Paradise

"As one enters the front door, one is greeted by a multi-colored, African themed decor. The vibrant colors welcome one into this oasis of calm in a delightful neighborhood. Despite its proximity to everything, the street on which the house sits was so quiet that we were never disturbed by any outdoor sounds. My husband and I came to Seattle for a wedding over Easter weekend and added several days on each side of our trip for sightseeing, but there were times we just wanted to bask in the hospitality of this lovely home. Every part of the house was remarkably clean and polished, from the beautiful hardwood floors, to the tiled kitchen, to the counter tops, to the bathroom fixtures, to the linens. We have stayed in 5-star hotels that were not as well maintained as this home. The kitchen has everything I wish I had in my own home -- a convenient center island, a fabulous range/oven, acres of counter space. It is so well equipped that I cannot imagine a traveler needing more. The cabinets are stocked with dinner service for 12 and the pantry holds serving dishes, a food processor, a slow cooker, and many other items desirable for anyone who likes to cook. The inviting back deck features a gas grill and an outdoor heater. We had several days of sunshine while visiting and it was a lovely spot to sit and catch the fragrant Northwest air. We had never done a VRBO and I was a bit hesitant, but the allure of not having to rush out of a hotel for breakfast or not ordering room service if we were tired in the evening, convinced us to try it. We could not have asked for a better experience. The owners made everything easy from booking the property, to adding an extra night when our plans changed, to answering every question within minutes. We were only two, but the home would easily accommodate a family in its three immaculate bedrooms. There is a large bathroom with a fabulous multi-head shower and a jetted tub as well as a powder room, so there would be space for several family members getting ready for an event. We were delighted by the fact that the living room shelves held a ready supply of books, including one I'd been planning to read and finished while we were here! The gas fireplace added the perfect ambience. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend the Ravenna Oasis and wish that our week long stay were not at an end. • amazingly bright, perfect location, GREAT owners

"We rented this apartment to visit UW when my son found out he was accepted. As soon as we walked in he said, "Mom you have to write a good review for this place!" There was a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. This is a garden/basement apartment, but it was amazingly bright. also consider that Seattle got a lot of rain/clouds the week we were there. The location was perfect - we walked to UW campus every day, and it was very nice to avoid parking hassles. We were also close to Pike Street Market and many great restaurants. Colleen and John were great hosts - helpful and responsive. On our one sunny day, I was reading on the patio and Colleen turned on the fountain for me. What a treat! Thank you, Colleen and John. I would highly recommend this property. However, don't steal it away from me when I want to come visit my son at UW! Ha ha!"
