  • Darling Romantic Beachfront Getaway

"We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this property. The property is in a gorgeous neighborhood. The owner, Roberta was friendly and helpful. Her house is at the top of the stairs which lead down to the beach house. The house was spotless and had a lovely deck to sit and watch the sunsets with the water lapping at the shore beneath the deck when the tide was in. There were seals in the water swimming by and they were fun to watch. A recent storm had broken the ladder leading down to the water, so we were unfortunately not able to try the kayaks. There are two flights of narrow stairs leading down to the house, so I would not recommend it for anyone who can't negotiate stairs, but it was no problem for us. The property is one block from the Brown's Point Lighthouse where there is a nice park where you can get to the water. The beach is made of large pebbles, not sandy, so it was nice to have the paths there to walk on. We met the lady from the historical society who gave us a tour of the lighthouse-keepers cottage. It was very entertaining and she was very nice and welcoming. Gig Harbor was a short drive (20 minutes) where we spent a nice day riding the trolley, shopping and having lunch. We went to Point Defiance Park which was beautiful and had dinner at Anthony's there. Downtown Seattle was about a 40 min drive. There is a market and a neighborhood diner just around the corner. The Brown's Point Diner had good hamburgers and eggs Benedict for breakfast. We cooked a few breakfasts for ourselves. I would definitely recommend this property to a couple for a romantic getaway. There are two bedrooms, but the living room is small for more than two people. I would definitely go back again if we were to revisit the area."

  • We loved this place!

"This was a family birthday getaway for eight people and this place was everything we wanted it to be. The view was spectacular even when there was rain and clouds and the house has so many water facing windows that you are rarely without a view. We had a seven year old with us who loved everything about this place. There are so many places inside and out to explore in this unique house. The living room is a great hanging out space and there is a very cozy tv/reading room for those who want to watch. The four bathrooms make getting eight people ready for the day an easy task and there are tons of towels. The kitchen is very well equipped so there is no need to bring any utensils or pans unless it is very specialized. This was a winter stay but I can only imagine how spectacular this place would be in summer. We hope to return."

  • Great stay!

"My husband and I loved this rental. It was just as advertised and perfect for our month-long stay. There was enough space for the two of us to work from home without feeling cramped. The property was clean, fully stocked, and well taken care of, and the bed was super comfortable. The patio and view are also fantastic and we very much enjoyed sitting out there on sunny afternoons. We found the location convenient to cafes, bars and restaurants in Fremont and central to surrounding neighborhoods as well as getting downtown or further north. Jody, the owner, was very responsive to any questions that came up. It was perfect for our time spent in Seattle!"

  • wonderful cottage and great hosts!!

"My wife and I just spent 12 lovely days in the cottage. It is private and quiet and yet accessible to all the sites of the island. Larry and his wife could not have been more gracious. Aside from the coziness of the cottage the grounds are spectacular. It was also a positive to have access to the water and the use of a canoe or a kayak for sunset tours of the bay. I would give the cottage 7 stars if I could"
