  • Perfect House for a Wedding Weekend

"This home is perfect in so many ways! We needed a place to stay for our son's wedding in Seattle and this house was offered everything we could possibly need. We rented the whole house so the six bedrooms gave us room for our whole family. The kitchen is well equipped and made it easy to prepare meals for our large group. The location was wonderful and everyone enjoyed walking around Green Lake and exploring the area. My daughter and her husband and two young children slept in the downstairs area which worked out so well. The children could be put to bed and not bothered by the noise upstairs. We never had a problem finding parking and there were plenty of Uber drivers around for those without cars. Overall it was a perfect weekend and I hope we have the occasion to rent this house again!"

  • City living

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In the middle of it all. We are long time Seattle residents who moved a few years ago. Thought about a condo downtown but spent the time traveling instead. This was our chance to live downtown visit friends, take care of MD and DDS appointments. There was a list of restaurants old and new to try. We walked to it all and loved the fact the car stayed parked for most of it. The apartment and building itself are great. Comfortable place with a functional kitchen. Two floors down - the community floor has a clean well equipped gym - city views from the treadmill. A lap pool. Large outdoor deck with a variety of comfortable seating areas- several large gas grills. An indoor lounge with TV and a kitchen - library and billiards room. - more than most downtown condos. Put an ottoman in the living room and change the shower head and this apartment would be perfect."

  • Wonderful visit.

"Our stay at the West Seattle Carriage House was great. The bed in particular, was super comfortable! The kitchenette was great and had everything we needed, and the VIEW was amazing! Sometimes Mt. Rainier is covered with clouds, but we were lucky and were greeted with a spectacular view of the mountain the first morning we woke up there. The accommodations were very clean and cozy, and Nancy had all kinds of great reading materials available to us. We were so comfortable! The area is beautiful and is a nice place to sneak away from the bustle of the city and relax and collect your thoughts. It was simple to get to from the airport, and an easy jumping off point for a variety of locations. While there we went to see a play in Renton, WA (Jekyll and Hyde the musical!), we hiked Wallace Falls - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - and do it on a weekday if you can), We went to wineries near Woodinville, we visited friends on Mercer Island, and of course we spent time in Seattle downtown, and neighborhoods north of downtown, also city center, and the Ballard Locks (also Highly recommend!). All easy to get to from the Carriage House. Part of the time we took an Uber and part of the time we had a car and used navigation, no problems. The Carriage House is far enough from the city so that you feel like you can really get some rest, but close enough that you get up every day excited for your next adventure. One day we went downtown in our rental car, and parked so that we could spend time in city center at the Chihuly Garden and Glass, and we found a parking garage one block away and paid $12 event parking - not too bad and very convenient (cheaper than a cab or uber, and easier than public transportation - though we would have tried that b/c the transportation there is very good). We were on the go a lot so it took us a couple of days to meet Nancy and her husband, but when we did we had very nice conversations with them both. The courtyard and gardens in the adjoining yard between Nancy's house and the Carriage House are gorgeous! We enjoyed walking around looking at the flowers and the garden details. Whenever we drove our rental car into the city, we didn't find the traffic or parking to be as bad as we were expecting. I guess we got lucky! We were after all, on vacation, so avoided the rush hour times. All in all, we loved our stay at the West Seattle Carriage House, and highly recommend it."
