  • Lovely, quiet, and spacious, this property was even better than I had hoped.

"My husband, daughter, and I stayed for a few days before another daughter's wedding. The wedding venue was the zoo, so the location was perfect. We ran along Phinney every morning and found wonderful coffee afterward. We sat on the patio in the yard and enjoyed the quiet and shaded neighborhood. The two-bedroom, one-bath set-up worked well for us. Outside the bathroom is a lovely space with counter and windows that provided room for all those bathroom accessories. Aurora also made downtown and Capital Hill easily accessible (the other places our visit included). We felt like we were living out of town but could immediately be in town."

  • Great stay on the waterfront

"We enjoyed our time in Tacoma, and our "home away from home" at Brown's Point on the waterfront in Puget Sound. Our host, Roberta, was very kind and helpful in providing great directions to the house. It was a pleasure to have the chance to meet her the day after our arrival (we got in late the night before). The house had everything we needed for our short three day visit. Overall I would say this location is ideal for those wanting to stay on the water. It is sort of off the beaten path, yet convenient enough for travel around the area of Tacoma and Seattle, basically about 30 minutes to either city. And, still there are some nice places to eat nearby (Sandbar for lunch and late dining, Brown's Point Diner for breakfast and lunch, and Cliff House for fine dining to name a few). I will suggest that if you have difficulty with stairs, or an elderly person with you, this might not be a good fit. There are a number of stairs down to the house, and the house itself is two levels with a steep stairway inside. Otherwise, for the rest of you, it's a great place to watch the ships come and go, and you might get lucky and see some seals like we did!."

  • Seattle weekend

"Very nice apartment - clean, quiet, tasteful, and comfortable. Owner friendly and accommodating. Nice short walk to the Lake Washington park/beach, and restaurants and shops. Also really handy to have off-street parking available. Would recommend to others."

  • Wow! What a Gem

"This house was a perfect fit for our family of 4, including two kids, 9 and 11. The view is beyond words! I could sit all day in the coffee nook and soak it in. We arrived to a tray of freshly baked cinnamon rolls and breakfast muffins and couldn't have been more delighted. The house is thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, very clean, and has a nicely stocked kitchen. It is also a kayaker's dream! We came with 4 kayaks, and entry into the water was simple. We explored Case Inlet, Vaughn Bay, and Rocky Bay, and the kids were really able to hone their skills. The wildlife was fantastic. The yard and beach kept the kids occupied for hours. I would highly recommend this rental for an adventure or just a quiet getaway. I look forward to coming back."
