  • A perfect Christmas cabin

"Bird lovers beware, you won't want to leave this house! We loved watching and identifying all the species of feathered friends that were always in and near the water, especially at low tide. Bald eagles, egrets, merganser ducks, mallard ducks, bufflehead ducks, pelicans, seagulls, and on and on! And the salmon, so many in the water! Their fins looked like miniature sharks as they swam around spawning. The house itself was very comfortable for three adults. It was clean and well appointed. The kitchen served its purpose well as we prepared Christmas dinner and other meals. We had a hard time keeping away from the large windows that look out onto the stream and woods. We liked the secluded location, it was quiet and very dark at night, we slept well! The open bedrooms did not pose much of a problem as one bed could not see the other. We would definitely return."

  • Beautiful lake and big beautiful house. Looks like the kind of vacation home you'd like to be in.

"Ours was a family reunion with ages 3 months to 90 years. The house and setting were perfect. They are both serene and invigorating. Beautiful and comfy. The great grandparents loved the quiet, handicap accessible master on the main floor. The young men enjoyed visiting around the firepit. The young lovers enjoyed kayaking in midwinter. The young family, if they didn't already live locally, would have been extremely comfortable staying in the apartment, because there's no fear that a crying baby would wake up the rest of the house. Plus it has a crib. The kids have endless entertainment including a toy kitchen, a closet full of games, and the big outdoors. The main kitchen had more gadgets and supplies than we could ever use. The huge island is a drawing place. Two big refrigerators, a six burner stove, and copious storage make it easy to cook for a crowd. The table seats 10 easily, and there's banquette seating and island stools for overflow. The living room is is large with lots of seating and the bonus living room in the basement is the same. There was plenty of space for together time and alone time. The entire house was filled with interesting decorative items which had obviously been collected by the family over the years. My personal favorite part of the house was the collection of fascinating books on a wide variety of topics, including local history. Seattle is a short drive away. Stores and restaurants are just a mile or two away. Finally, the family is very gracious and helpful, so we could relax knowing that we were well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again."
