  • Quaint & Cozy

"Four friends get together once a year (for the past 7 years - CA, OR and WA residents) and this year we chose the PNW. We usually camp, but decided to stay in a cabin due to the time of year and rainfall. We tend to be picky, but are not divas - and two of the 4 of us are architects - so aesthetics count. The cabin was easy to find and the lock box was convenient and easy. Situated right on the water. We were "ooooohing" and "awwwwing" the moment we drove up. We all agreed that the layout was great and appreciated the mud room. Kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of towels. The hot tub was a bonus and was perfect after a chilly day meandering along the Dungeness Spit. We will definitely be back and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway haven along the Olympic Peninsula."

  • Perfect for any size family or group of friends

"This house is awesome and was perfect in so many ways for our two (un-related and very close) families. We have rented many, many vacation homes all over the U.S. and Europe and this by far contains the best layout for families and the most well-equipped house we have ever stayed! The property is exactly as described and pictured (grass was brown though during August - no surprise and certainly doesn't hinder our opinion that this is the greatest find on the island)! The house was very clean and the book/binder provided for guests had every bit of information we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped as if someone lived there on a daily basis - everything you can think of, down to specialty items such as crabbing utensils (which we used many times). The large kitchen island enables multiple people to be working on meal prep (which makes for less time in the kitchen and more beach time!). The sleeping accommodations and layouts are fabulous and the giant game room is perfectly situated and truly has something for all ages, from small children to the adults. The crashing sound of the waves at night were so relaxing and nice to hear. It isn't located on a sandy beach so be sure to bring appropriate footwear. We especially enjoyed the lounge chairs, especially us early risers who could enjoy coffee and private time/chats. Another great feature is the community park (about four or five house lengths away) which in addition to an ample playground for kids, has a very long dock which was great for us to use for our daily crabbing excursions. An added benefit for going in August is that blackberries were in full season so we were able to make cobbler and ice cream (we brought our own machine) - yummy! We chatted with both neighbors and they were friendly and welcoming and provided lots of tidbits about where we should crab, a few good restaurants in Freeland (there aren't many) and other questions we had. The only caveat is that it is not in an area where swimming is a good idea so if that is an important feature, you might want to consider other options. On our last dinner together, everyone chimed in that they wanted to make this an annual event. We CAN'T wait to get our schedules to match up for next year."

  • Had a great time

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property. Very well stocked kitchen, tons of great games and toys for kids and adults. My only complaint is no fire wood for the fireplace. It was cold and the heaters inside were not able to heat the room with soo many big windows. We would have built a fire but no wood."

  • Clean, comfortable home

"We stayed here for our family Thanksgiving get together. This home has been recently updated and has a great kitchen. Also easy access to a great park with trails for hiking with our dog. We would definitely stay here again."
