  • Delightful!

"It was just delightful the 6 days and 5 nights my dog, Rory, and I spent at Eagle Vista Cottage. For one thing, the blinds were always open because we didn't want to miss anything: the mist rising on the lake in the morning, the sun dappling on the water in the afternoon and the full moon shining overhead at night. There was plenty to keep us busy: walking in the grass across 9 acres, (and for Rory running and playing to his heart's content), sitting on the dock watching the boaters going by, and just enjoying the solitude and quiet of the place. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. It came equipped with everything we needed. We're looking forward to returning because for us it worked on so many levels. Thank you, Eagle Vista Cottage."

  • Beautiful outdoor setting for families of all ages

"There are so many water toys to use for kids and adults(including life jackets). We paddled all over the cove as well as boating up the river. Great location for skiing and tubing. The water temp was 75 and very comfortable. The kids loved hopping in the hot tub after the wind cooled them down from swimming. So many movies to choose from (VHS and some DVD). A few games and cards to play. The sleeping situation was the only challenge. The room with the queen, twin and double is in an open loft directly above the other bedroom (queen) and the floor is super squeaky. Don't try to go to sleep until the upstairs crew has completely settled. The detached room was great for having a place to go but got very cold (feels like camping). The kitchen had everything we needed and was well stocked - The whole experienced was wonderful and leaving us wanting more time on the river."

  • Relaxacation!!!

"My wife and two small ones thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We played in the water right outside the back door! We enjoyed the view of the lake, mountains, sky, sun, and random passerby on skis. After a few minutes of unpacking our belongings in the various rooms, we stepped out on the beautiful porch, sat down in the comfy chairs and let out a huge sigh of relief. We relaxed!!! That feeling didn't leave us the entire time. We also noticed that the home was prepaired with visitors in mind. Fire pit, hot tub, skidoo, floating island, tv with 100's of channels, wifi, kayaks, life vests, and a kitchen with everything you'd need. Superb experience!!"

  • Location, Location, Location!!

"My family and I rented this house on Loon Lake for a week. It was MUCH larger than anticipated, and was a perfect place to stay. The house has a large screened porch for early mornings and late evenings. The beach is across the street, but you have your very own beach, unlike many other neighbors that share a beach. The water was incredible; very clear and a great temp. We were about a half hour from Spokane, about an hour from Silverwood, and very close to local stores in Deer Park. The rental consist of a double wide trailer with a living, dining, kitchen, 2 bedroom and 2 bath (one en suite), and a laundry room. The washer and dryer are HUGE, making laundry a breeze. There is a large garage where the 2 kayaks, life vests, and assorted floaties are stored. There is also another fridge out there for additional room. And there is a HUGE additional living room area, that will easily seat 12 people, as well as giving an amazing view of the lake. The kids enjoyed having Belgian waffles daily for breakfast, compliments of the waffle maker Anita has onsite. There was a large electric griddle which makes AWESOME bacon, as well as a stove and plenty of pots and pans. Spices were stocked very well, and there were plenty of papertowels, toilet paper and towels to use. It is an older place, but clean and tastefully decorated. Plenty of room to entertain, and enormous for our group of 4. We had a dinner one night with relatives, and had 11 people dining with no issues whatsoever, thanks to Anita having so much dishware and silverware. Parking is GREAT! 5 cars easily, I would guess, although we had only one. There was no wifi, which was kind of a bonus with a teen in the house. Verizon cell was available, as was roaming on Sprint. AT&T also works. Neighbors are quiet and very nice. Weekdays were so nice and quiet, comparted to the weekends, but it was NEVER noisy at the house. Anita and Joe greeted us, and are wonderful and very gracious. It was clearly important to them that we enjoyed our stay, which we most certainly did! On our last day, we rented a pontoon boat from Shore Acres and went around the lake, stopping to swim when it got too warm. Loons, Ducks, seagulls, Osprey as well as a Pelican were all visible from the house. We had a wonderful time, and send out our thanks to Anita and Joe for welcoming us to their home. :)"
