  • Great multigenerational holiday house.

"We enjoyed a great family Christmas in this lovely home. With bedrooms on three levels plus two seating areas it was the ideal layout for everyone. The house had been decorated with garlands and bows plus a sparkling Christmas tree. We are already trying to find another date we can all be together so we can reserve another holiday stay. This time we look forward to enjoying outside activities."

  • Awesome

"Wonderful location with lots of amenities. We enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful stay which included a walk in the woods to a stunning waterfall and many hours in the hot tub on the deck. From playing cards in the solarium to watching the latest Star Wars on the ample TV and sleeping in luxurious accommodations everything was fully enjoyed. The cooks kitchen and awesome bathrooms. Well we just recommend The Watcom Retreat for your next gathering. Enjoy! P.S. The owners are great!"

  • Great New Years Getaway!

"This is a very comfortable place to stay! Two bedrooms top floor and one on the bottom floor, with kitchen, living room, dining room all on the middle floor. Lots of room without bumping into each other. Feels like being way out in the wilderness, but in reality you're only a few minutes from everything you could need in Bellingham. We were there in deep freeze winter, so didn't get to really use the outside decks. We did use the hot tub one night though... very nice sitting in hot bubbles while snow comes down around us. Inside, the wood stove generated a lot of heat to keep the place warm. (TIP: We went through about 2½ bundles of wood per day. $5 per bundle from the little store down at the main road.) Kitchen is well-equipped... full-size oven, stove top, microwave, dishwasher, etc. (an unusual abundance of pizza pans in the cupboard!) We had a great time, and are looking forward to trying it again in some warmer weather when we can spend more time out on the decks!"

  • Relaxing, modern lakeside holiday

"We loved our long weekend / Thanksgiving holiday stay at Jennifer's place. Some of the nicest aspects are the open living space with views of nothing but the lake, fairly well-stocked kitchen, modern aesthetic, heated concrete floors, and great rain shower. The garage door / front of the house gave our pup a great view of the outdoors--she sat and watched out those windows for hours on end. It was a really rainy, stormy weekend, but this was a nice, cozy place to spend it. Excellent proximity to downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven, just a quick drive away. You arrive through a trailer park so that surprised us a bit, but once you're at the house it's extremely private. We look forward to staying here again!"
