  • Great location, picturesque property, very nice amenities

"There's so much to see and do in this part of Washington, so it's really special when you can enjoy "a rest day at the house" to end your vacation! We and another couple used this comfortable lakeside house as a base for several day trips for whale watching cruise, sight seeing (Mt Baker is awesome), and shopping (Fairhaven is great fun), but indeed did stay at the house to enjoy the grill, the pavilion, the hot tub, and the restful view by the lake to get ready for our plane flights back home. The property is so nicely decorated, and the house so nicely furnished, you feel like you're at someone's home - really enjoyable. Plus Art and Jane are so attentive, you really do feel like you're visiting good friends. Thanks so much for a great time!"

  • Excellent Stay!

"This property was the perfect place for us to visit our son at WWU for the special family weekend. The location was ideal and the cottage was very cozy. We would love to return on future visits. Thank you so much!"

  • Peaceful, Private, Perfect Hideaway

"This was our second visit to the Chuckanut Hideaway and it won't be our last! It is the perfect blend of quiet and peaceful while being close to the city of Bellingham for great restaurants, parks and shopping. The Hideaway is cozy, clean and modern with spectacular views of Chuckanut Bay. Although it is a studio, there is plenty of room - comfortable bed, large modern bathroom (complete with a porthole to capture the views) and great furniture on which to spend the afternoon reading and relaxing. Although the kitchen has no oven or stovetop it is well stocked and convenient for preparing light meals and/or snacks. Fairhaven restaurants and coffee shops are just a short drive down the road for larger meals. The small porch is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening while watching the sunset. So sorry we missed you again this year, Howard!"
