  • Awesome

"Wonderful location with lots of amenities. We enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful stay which included a walk in the woods to a stunning waterfall and many hours in the hot tub on the deck. From playing cards in the solarium to watching the latest Star Wars on the ample TV and sleeping in luxurious accommodations everything was fully enjoyed. The cooks kitchen and awesome bathrooms. Well we just recommend The Watcom Retreat for your next gathering. Enjoy! P.S. The owners are great!"

  • A Wonderful President's Day Weekend with Family Friends with Kids!

"We were a group three families with 4 small children. We had a lot of fun at Victor's place. Victor was very accommodating to our needs and he was very quick to respond to all of my emails and he answered his phone right away when I needed to speak to him over the phone at one occasion. The house had a plenty of space for us. The kitchen was equipped with all kinds of gears and condiments/spices. The kitchen seems small somehow in the picture but it was huge and normally 3 or 4 of us are cooking at the same time with a plenty of space left! Also there was a lot of storage space for foods and kitchen items we brought. There was a plenty of hot water and the shower pressure was excellent. There were a plenty of nice and clean towels with all kind of sizes. We accessed the wifi with multiple equipments but the speed seemed fast. Kids really liked the bunk bed and the king size bed! The view and the access to the beach was fabulous. It's not too far away from the town of Bellingham so we enjoyed a visit to the Boulevard Park/ Woods Coffee, a crepe lunch in downtown and a visit to the Mind Port museum. Kids really enjoyed all the places we went in town, the beach and spending time with each other. We'd stay here again. The rate is pretty reasonable with three families. I'd consider staying here with my parents and my sister when they are in town too. Next time, we'd bring our own kids friendly drinking cups and straws, kitchen towels (not paper towels) and a recycling bin/box/paper bags. Perhaps a thorough cleaning will benefit this place but our kids are messy and the house is right on the beach so we did not mind at all! Thanks, Victor!"

  • Perfect lake-side get-away!

"We've usually returned to the Northwest to get my "ocean-fix" (now being land locked in Colorado) having been raised sailing in the Gulf Islands. However, since I now have family living on and around the lake, we decided to look for a place close by. Besides having access to the kayaks provided, we borrowed a few family Lasers and had an incredible warm-lake (relative to Colorado) dinghy sailing experience. The open design kitchen and living room space, and the expansive windows let in all of the sun-light to the main-living area. There is adequate kitchen utensils etc. and even life-jackets for little kids. We would definitely entertain the idea of stay at this VRBO in future summers and I would recommend this to friends or relatives visiting the area. The owners provided good customer service throughout the process especially, when we were challenged by the password (a long case-sensitive router number) for the internet and the VRBO. The property was clean and well-maintained. Note that there is exposed plumbing in the open beam sealing and it does have a cottage feel - which was perfect for us in this occasion. Be careful turning into the property off of the main road, as the turn off comes up fast and is a sharp turn. My family had advised that in terms of location on the lake, this property is well situated for maximum sun exposure and that proved to be true!"

  • Pacific Street Guesthouse 3 in Bellingham, WA

"Our family of 3 adults enjoyed a very comfortable stay here for 3 months while we searched for a home to buy. The location is super- very central - there are at least 3 grocery stores and two shopping centers within a mile, and it is right next to a hiking/biking trail. We loved being able to hop on our bikes and ride downtown, to Fairhaven, Boulevard Park, etc. (And we loved having a garage to park our bikes in.) We were truly able to feel right at home because the townhome is large and roomy and so thoughtfully appointed. We also had 3 guests join us for a week and there was still plenty of room for everyone. Loved the large open concept kitchen/ dining / living room with flat screen TV. The kitchen was great to cook in- lots of pots and pans, utensils, pretty dishes, etc., along with spices, tea, coffee, popcorn. And having a washer and dryer in the unit was a wonderful bonus. Also loved that a once a month cleaning was included- so nice to come home to beautifully made beds, rolled towels, and spotlessly clean rooms. Can't say enough good things about Barbara! We don't know what we would have done without the very professional rental service she provides, as we had just moved to Bellingham, and needed a furnished place to live with a flexible rental time while we searched for a home. Communications with Barbara and her staff were a breeze. Barbara was a lifesaver- very attentive to our needs, thoughtfully checking in with us to see if we needed to extend our stay before renting to someone else, and letting us know that if our house closing date was delayed, she would always have a place for us to stay if we needed it, which was a real comfort during a stressful house buying time. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! Thank you Barbara!"
