  • Magical weekend!

"My extended family and I (5 adults + 2 kids + 4 dogs!) enjoyed Memorial Day weekend at Sunrise, and it couldn't have been better! We spent our days exploring the beach in front of the house (eagles! clams! oysters!), the trails on the island (Otto Preserve and Baker Preserve), local artists' studios and making good use of the large adirondack chairs overlooking Hale Passage and Mt. Baker beyond! We arrived to find Sunrise even better than the VRBO photos, and all accommodations really comfortable. We ended up cooking and eating all our meals at the house, and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishware and utensils (plus the BBQ was easy to use). Lucky us, we also were able to enjoy the peak of the Sunrise garden that Louise and Mel have made beautiful, and left with a list of plants we need to buy at our local nurseries. I can't recommend this house enough, and just hope that in doing so it doesn't mean the calendar will be full many months in advance! We look forward to celebrating another family weekend at Sunrise, as this home made our vacation on Lummi Island truly magical."

  • Great place!

"We had a very nice time at this property. It's clean, and it was obvious that all details were thought about for the visitors. Great view from the deck and very quiet and private. Nice place for about four people. Six fit, but hide a bed isn't the best, and if people get up early, those on the hide a bed aren't able to sleep in 😉򒐮 Recommend for four, but overall a very nice place!"

  • Great location

"Location is perfect--right on the water and so close to the ferry. It still feels very secluded. Hot tub is hot. The kitchen is well adorned with utensils. The space is really large and great for 2 (if not 3) families. We would definitely come back."

  • Perfect wooded getaway

"After carefully analyzing all the available houses on Orcas I hit the jackpot with my selection of Seacliff. I live on a tropical island with ocean views from the pool and lanai so was totally delighted with the amazing view from the elevated deck's spa tub. Loved the gas grill and cooked "at home" for 3 out of 4 nights. As others have noted the house is impeccably designed and furnished, thoughtful in all the amenities and beautifully situated for privacy. No neighbors, noise or lights. Doug's warm personal and thorough review of Seacliff and the area had me feeling settled in within minutes. The high point of my stay was watching the supermoon rise on a cloudless night and the ensuing eclipse. Priceless experience and a memory that will have me dreaming of this hideaway for years to come. I spent an entire day lounging in the window seat reading and watching the passing marine life and listening to the water. The house was the perfect size for a lady looking for tranquility, a change of scenery and an environment different from her own place in paradise."
