  • It was nice, simple, and functioned well for our group..

"We came in rite as the power went out. It was difficult to find the address mainly because of the power out.: There was 2 feet of snow in the driveway and a sizable berm. We had to shovel a lot to fit both cars in the driveway.. understandable considering the amount of snow and crazy storms that week.. the power was out for 24 hrs.. all the flashlights and candles had empty batteries, with no spares and all the obvious areas ( hallway closets were locked) .. that was very inconvenient.. also , not having a proper spice rack with basic cooking spices ( salt n pepper ) etc.. was challenging.. the tv with 5 different controllers and the directions to use them was the most frustrating thing ever.. took 4 of us about 2 hours to finally figure out the built in movie option.. the gate was also challenging being that we had 2 cars in our group.. I had to get out every time and open the gate for car behind me. The shower part on the upstairs bathtub wasn't working either.. and every time we used it for a bath, it would drain the hot water tank.. other than all that, it was great and I would stay there again, but prob upgrade to a house with a jacuzzi.. thank you"

  • Cozy and comfortable

"My 14 yr. old son and I spent 3 nights here while skiing Mt. Baker. It was great to have the hot tub to soak in after a day on the slopes. Decent privacy with the back of the cabin facing woods and a river you can hear but not quite see. The LR is comfortable, with a large flat screen and DVD/blu-ray player. The internet was not blazing, but fast enough to stream Netflix or Hulu on the TV, so definitely adequate. Boom boxes upstairs and down for music; the one we used had an aux input. Found everything we needed in the kitchen, but bring all ingredients including salt and pepper. Fireplace is nice, though the cabin is plenty warm without it. I suggest you bring a bundle of your own wood plus kindling and newspaper (we were glad we did) to help burn the wood that comes provided with the cabin: dense cedar which was not bone dry, but burned when paired with drier wood and hot coals. There is a community center with a pool (seasonal, I think?) but we didn't check it out. I think it has ping pong there, as we found paddles and balls at the cabin. Hot, powerful shower. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was firm (seems like all rentals tend that way) but I got used to it. We would stay there again."

  • A Good Time Was Had By All

"Stayed at the cabin last weekend with a group of friends for a ski trip. Everything was as described, and the place was about a 30 min drive from the mountain. The cabin was clean and relatively comfortable (though perhaps large adults should rethink the twin beds upstairs, and the mattress on the trundle bed in the loft was not loved by the person who slept on it). Nice bonus that we found though was that the couch downstairs was actually a sofa bed, so the trundle bed mattress because a non-issue. Only a couple annoyances: the place lost power the morning we were leaving, so we spent quite a while handwashing dishes to clean up, and we were lucky that one of our group had packed a lighter or we wouldn't have been able to light the stove to make breakfast. Also, the gutter was leaking right outside the door where we entered / exited. Whining aside, we had a great time at the cabin. Good kitchen, loved the fireplace, lots of hot water for showers -- overall, a very good stay at a nice place for a weekend trip."

  • Can't wait to return!

"We stayed at Ken's place March 6-9, 2017. There were five women and a dog up for a ski trip to Mt. Baker. All the little details of this place made it an excellent stay. The gated community was easy to access and well plowed. The driveway was spacious for multiple cars to make unloading and getting out easy. Inside, the cabin space was very well utilized. It was small but we had plenty of room for reading, stretching out for a movie, and having group meals. Upstairs the four bedrooms were the perfect size. Each room had a heater and we were never cold, which was really nice! The kitchen is very well stocked with NICE cooking equipment! It makes such a huge difference when preparing meals to have everything you need and in get condition. The bathroom is spacious and it was so handy having an extra restroom, as well. The linens and bed sheets are newer and not tattered. The towels are nearly new- its these details that make the stay special. The whole house is very clean. No cobwebs, no dust. I found one spider at day four- pretty remarkable for a secluded, wood cabin in the NW! The balconies upstairs are a fun addition- great place to sit and watch the snow fall. Every appliance worked well and we had no trouble. W/D, DW, hot tub, internet. Everything worked exactly as described. Things were labeled like crazy which is super helpful! Ken has a binder full of local activities on the living room table. It includes hikes, ski info, and details for every restaurant and rental shop anywhere near Glacier. The location is ideal- there is not a community closer to Mt Baker. Overall I am more impressed with the cabin than I expected and am looking forward to visiting again."
