  • Perfect Vacation Rental for the whole Family

"This was one of our best family trips to date, mostly thanks to the vacation rental. It was a very clean, well-stocked, up to date home that seemed to have all the luxuries you would expect or need for a family (modern kitchen, lots of towels/linens, TV’s etc.). The property itself was the surprise favorite, with a wood deck off the back leading out to a large open space with a good sized pond, row boat, and enough wild life to keep the kids occupied for hours. We bought some shrimp nets in town (which was only a short drive away), and the kids spent half a day hunting for frogs. The house was additionally equipped with plenty of board games and DVDs for entertainment, in addition to daily visits by deer passing through the yard. They enjoyed the tree house as well. Should be noted that neither of our cell phones had service (Verizon), but, that may have been a blessing to ignore work calls and get into the vacation mindset. The house did have a land line, as well as Wi-Fi allowing us to access email and the internet as needed. We would highly recommend this property to others, and hope to plan a trip again to this same location soon."

  • Awsome house on a hill in the woods with beautiful view of the San Juan Island channels!

"The house was exactly what we saw in the pictures...but better in person. Spacious open living with log beams, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking a large deck. The deck was a great gathering place for breakfast, and watching the deer, and for wine and cheese in the evening. We would recommend this property."

  • Relaxing weekend away with friends

"I decided to gather 9 of my closest friends for a weekend getaway just outside the city. Heading up to Guemes island was a mixture of fun adventure and relaxing getaway. We were able to enjoy our time and below I'll provide the pros/cons and my tips for future vacationers. Pros: The ferry was short, cheap, and travels across often. There was practically no noise, traffic, or other people around at all during our stay, the house is completely surrounded and feels very private. The house was very spacious and provided exactly what we needed for a short weekend away, including some board games and the garage entertainment (pool/ping pong) was greatly appreciated. The back deck is very spacious and it was very easy to accommodate everyone for relaxing and chatting in a large circle. The yard is also very spacious and can easily have multiple people running around at once. Cons: (Most of these cons were a result of me and not the house) There are only a few outdoor chairs, so bring some if you like to lounge. The ferry can only hold 20-22 cars at a time so get there a little early otherwise you may have to wait. There was no outdoor fire pit, which would have been really fun but again there was never one promised so I can't be upset about not having one. The propane tank was empty but we filled it at the local store and the home-owner reimbursed us, yay! Pro-tips: Do your research on the ferry schedule and get there 20-25 minutes early. Pack plenty of chairs and everything you'll need to enjoy they weekend (outdoor games, drinks, water, etc...). If you can't find the ping pong paddles look in the drawers by the garage sink... trust me... they are there! I recommend bringing flip flops or slippers since there is a lot of in and out of the back patio (lazy pro-tip). Bring fancy cooking utensils, the basics are there. The house was amazing and we had a great time, enjoy yourself and do the 1.1 mile Guemes Mountain hike, it was beautiful."
