  • Wonderful Rental

"My husband and I just finished a 5-night stay in this rental. The setting is absolutely tranquil and serene, and is centrally located between Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor (closer to Roche). Everything a renter might need was provided. It has lots of windows which you can open to enjoy a beautiful relaxing breeze. We bought food to prepare a meal on our last night and everything we needed to get the job done was provided. The resident Black Lab Olive will happily greet you upon your arrival. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Connie, Dave & Olive"

  • Lovely for a family getaway

"We had a terrific time for our week away - the house was immaculate, the location was ideal- it's about 15 minutes away from Eastsound and about 20-25 minutes to Moran State Park. We went hiking every day on the island and often went to Cascade lake for swimming afterward. Our family of two adults, 2 kids ages 7 and 10 and my mother (an active senior in her late 70's) had a fantastic time. We ate in almost every night, the kitchen is great to cook in and the grill works beautifully too. We used the hot tub every night - the view is to die for!!! I got up most mornings to see the sunrise. I felt like I was in a special tree house watching the birds, the deer and looking for sea life. The neighborhood is very quiet with only a few houses nearby. I agree that the terrain would not lend itself well to bicycle riding or running directly from or to the house given the steepness. I also would caution this for people with very small children if the parents were staying in the master which is one flight up - though the other bedroom is ideally located across from the bunkbed room. My daughters loved the bunkbeds! I strongly recommend this house for the comfort, the view and the location!"

  • Amazing spot to get away!

"My wife and I, along with two friends, needed a weekend away from the city. This was the perfect place to do just that. You get to cross the ferry to get to the wonderful little town Friday Harbor. Then about 15 minutes away you arrive at the cabin and get to enjoy the peaceful, serene, and beautiful scenery of the island from a wonderful viewpoint. You can see all the way to Victoria from the cabin. Sipping on a glass of wine while enjoying the hot tub helped spur wonderful conversations for hours. The wood burning fireplace surrounded by a reading library offers the feel of the cabin life. Running into the sauna after getting out of the hot tub was a great way to keep warm. We didn't turn on the TV but it is there if you want. And the entire island is pretty small which allows you to tour the entire island in a day and head back to the cabin for another night of relaxation. The hosts are amazing and friendly. The grounds are quiet and serene. It was just overall a wonderful experience we will be happily returning for. Thank you!"

  • My Week At the Wren's Nest

"The directions from the ferry to the Wren's Nest were excellent. We found ourselves greeted by a sweet house nestled in the woods at the south end of Lopez. I cannot say enough about the home. From first glimpse we fell in love with it's charm and unique character. We spent many hours in the sitting room at the back of the house talking - eating and enjoying the quiet and serenity of this beautiful place. The Wren's Nest is about 15 minutes from the village. We came to Lopez to enjoy the serenity and the breath taking views, so I was pleased to find that we were close to Shark's reef - Agate Beach - Ice Berg point and Watmau. And with glimpses of McKay Harbor from the deck I thought I was in heaven. Thank you for opening your home and I will be sure to return. In fact thinking about this coming spring."
