  • Great place to stay and explore the island!

"This was a perfect place to stay and relax and to launch our exploration of Whidby Island. Everything was clean and welcoming - maybe just need a new wine bottle opener and coffee filters! ! I usually have mine with but forgot one of my bags at home.. The area is peaceful and beautiful- we enjoyed a little picnic down on the beach. My daughter loved the madrona tree by the deck - that's her favorite tree. Stayed with my daughter, son-in-law and 5 month old grandson - it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Easy to get to Langley (love that town) on one end and Deception Pass Park on the other . Also appreciated Rob's tips for groceries and dining. Thank you, Rob."

  • Family Relaxation

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This quaint home perfectly fit the needs of our diverse group! The older kids took over the loft area while each couple had their own room downstairs. There was plenty of room for the portable crib too. The girls were thrilled to find a bit of privacy as one of the bunk beds was tucked into a tiny room in the loft. The kitchen met our needs, although a dishwasher would have been fabulous. The deck and views were amazing. We loved to watch our big kids catching crabs and skimming rocks while we savored the sunset and views. Everyone enjoyed the inflatable kayak we brought along, although we had to wait for the tide to come in a few times. It was an easy drive to Anacortes for a whale watching tour with Mystic Sea Charters and also for a beautiful hike. We enjoyed tooling around La Conner while the kids caught Pokemon. We picked blackberries and made a delicious cobbler on one of our nights. Nell Thorn Restaurant and La Conner Brewing (for happy hour) were both hits. Although the house has some quirks, the space and views definitely made up for it."

  • Nice Quiet place!

"Really enjoyed staying here. They house had the nice relaxing cabin feel (wood). Five of us stayed with room to spare. The fire pit is awesome! Nice and big! All the amenities were there besides food of course. The only down side's are that there is no view of the ocean, even though the ocean is only about 300 yrds away, but it didn't hamper our trip. The boat launch is about 400yrds away and down a big hill. We walked down the hill easy but had to pack the car up to bring things back up to the house. A general store is a short 5 min drive away and it has everything you need. To get to downtown Lopez its only about a 10min drive. All in all I would definitely stay here again! Nice relaxing, cheap and close to a boat launch!"

  • My first VRBO trip was very good

"Susan is prompt and professional. I enjoyed working with her to setup the reservation, and she was extremely nice with answering questions during my trip. The place was very clean. The photos and descriptions of the home are accurate. The neighborhood is very peaceful. Handwash and dishwashing soaps were provided. Kitchen utilities were in perfectly good working order. Various cups, pots, pans, utensils were all fine. Besides the obvious food and drink, I recommend for visitors to remember their own kitchen consumables: spices, oils, condiments, ice, etc. I recommend checking the Port Susan tide schedules. The beach is very fun for kids, and there was plenty of driftwood to make forts. I highly recommend Susan's Camano Island home."
