  • Surprise Vacation for the Wife

"Brought my wife to the Driftwood cabin on Whidbey Island for two nights. We are celebrating our 6th anniversary next month but wanted to take advantage of the fair guarantee on good September weather. We were amazed! Not only was the cabin clean and cozy and offered all the amenities, the weather provided one of the most amazing sunsets we have ever seen. We sat out on the deck for the first half of the sunset and then plopped into the hot tub for the last half. We were relaxed after only the first night. Spent the next morning wandering the private beach. We were the only ones walking the beach! Plenty of things to do and great food in the nearby towns and the ferry terminal is only a few minutes away for the ride to Port Townsend. You couldn't find a more perfect location for a beach getaway. The owner, Greg, made everything so easy and we are looking forward to returning as soon as possible. Quite a find!!"

  • Very pretty location. Nice house, with beautiful details. Equipped with everything we needed.

"Martha was very nice and always responded quickly. We had a large group - 14 adults and 3 babies but all managed to find places to sleep and hang out! Lot of seating/room outside also, and we really enjoyed sitting around the campfire one night. Three bathrooms so we managed to make that work too! Our family was together for a wedding, and it had been quite some time since we had seen some family members so it was great to be all in the same place - instead of separate hotels/rooms. We had one location we could all be at! The only "criticisms" anyone had were that the house overall and the bathrooms especially could use some more lighting (I guess we missed a dimmer switch in one bathroom which may have made a difference). Also the house has wood floors and stairs that can be pretty noisy (of course so were 14 people). Martha did say it was a noisy house so can't say she didn't warn me! :) For most of us this was the first time using/staying at a vacation home and it was a great experience. Thanks again to Martha for making her place available."

  • Driftwood beachtastic!

"We had a WONDERFUL 3 night stay here at Salmon Run. We had just gotten back from a 7-day Alaskan cruise and this was the best way to get away from the cruise crowds. From the beach, we did see "our ship" cruising back north again Saturday evening, which was pretty funny for us. This cozy, comfortable cabin was perfect for our family of four. The beds were all very comfortable. It was well stocked with everything that we needed. We enjoyed playing some games and watched a couple movies from the DVD "library." I especially loved the old-school feel of the cabin - updated with just the right balance for beachin' it, but not so fancy that you were afraid you'd mess up something. Our boys adored the rock beach and found tons of little beach crabs. There were also baby birds chirping in the bird house by the front door/garage door. We enjoyed seeing the mama keep busy feeding them. We explored Coupeville, Fort Casey, and Port Townsend. We had delicious Penn Cove mussels at the Front Street Grill. We'd definitely stay here again and hope to return. ~ A Colorado family with ties to the Northwest"

  • Experience the PNW at it's finest

"My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short get-away from the city. The cabin was lovey, really just like the photos. I was a little sad to see just how close the neighbors were, but they were very quiet (maybe not home at all) and it turned out to not be a problem at all. The view from the house is amazing. Most of the day we were here was cloudy, so we didn't see much. But the clouds broke just enough for sunset, and what a treat that was! Thanks so much to the owners for sharing such a special place!"
