  • Magical weekend on the farm - We can't wait to go back!

"My family went to Hoehn Bend Farm to celebrate my 2 year old daughter's birthday. It was absolutely amazing! The setting is gorgeous and incredibly peaceful. Farmer Terry welcomed us on arrival and immediately set to work charming both my 2 and 5 year old girls. We were able to participate as fully as we wished in caring for the animals, and we all just loved it. We were lucky enough to be there during the spring and were able to watch a calf being born just feet away from us, hold 3 day old chicks (and big chickens too!), and steal peeks at a weeks-old barn owl in the rafters. Both Terry and Jean were so kind to my girls and made a point to make everything so interesting for all of us. On our way out, they took us on a jeep tour of the Terry's neighboring family farm, which was a totally different but equally gorgeous setting. Terry and Jean made everything such an adventure for my girls. They laughed their heads off going through the tree tunnels, snatching berries and cherries from the bushes and trees as we bounced past, and catching glimpses of the animals along the way. The farm house is so comfortable, and Jean has taken a great deal of care in stocking it with everything a family could possibly need, including toys/movies/books for the kids. I have nothing but praise for Hoehn Bend Farm, and, weeks later, my girls still ask every day about when we can go back!"

  • Gorgeous cabin and river view

"My boyfriend and I are so glad we rented this cabin!! The views of the river and falls were spectacular! It had everything we needed, and was very homey! We were so relaxed and comfortable. The upstairs bed was almost too soft, and VERY squeaky! Lol! We went on a hike to see the ghost town Monte Cristo, very cool, but definitely a long hike! We will definitely be interested in staying again in the future!"

  • Superb Large Family Getaway

"Beautifully designed and well equipped home with fabulous lakefront! Lots of room here for our family of 19, with four couples and 11 kids, ages 1-16. Great kitchen, large TV room, greatroom, wrap around deck, and 4 queen/king bedrooms. Ten of the grandkids shared the big bunk room and had a blast. Owners Chris and Kathy were great in sharing their place and making sure we had an excellent family time. We swam, skied and wake boarded, kayaked, paddled, played pickle ball and 'minute-to-win-it', did a scavenger hunt and jigsaw puzzles and ate lots. Some uncommon 'extras' available were the outdoor shower with hot/cold water, water toys, swim platform/trampoline, games, ride-on toys and sport court. It would be hard not to have a great holiday here."

"One can really tell how much both John and Mary love what they do the minute u arrive on their property. This cabin , is not little, its perfect in every way!! We stayed Nov2-5 and 4 days are not enough! We got there when all the leaves where changing color it was a perfect time to visit. We had a very regimented trip planned so we didn't get to spend as much time at the cabin as we would have liked. So you know what that means.. We want to come back! The property is so beautiful and quiet, and the cabin is so well maintained its incredible. I finally got 4 good nights of sleep! We loved sitting on the deck and watching and listening to the fish jump! The hot tub was exquisite! I couldn't get Mark out of it ! LOL We only wished we had more time. You really can see this is John and Mary's baby. They work very hard to keep it beautiful every day, and I truly envy them! What a great retirement business. I really did like having the washer/ dryer upstairs in the bathroom, that was a treat! as we used a lot of towels with the hot tub and shower, it was nice to have that luxury. From the kitchen and all its accessories, to the living area with the wonderful tv (which we rarely turned on) to the warm little fired up stove. and the well groomed parking area. We cannot say enough good things about this charming cottage! Thank you so much Mary and John! We would truly like to come see it all again! Mary and Mark"
