  • Just what we were looking for

"Linda's house was perfect. We thought we were going to use it just as a base camp while visiting family in the area, but we ended up inviting them all over for board games and movies to kick off the new year. There was plenty of room and seating for twenty, and the view of the fireworks across the sound was fantastic. It was so close that everyone rang in the new year and was home before one."

  • Charming and cozy cabin, right on the water

"We had a lovely stay at this cabin, it is as charming as the pictures represent. It is full of lovely furnishings and the fir window trim and pine floors are gorgeous. The porch is so inviting even though it was cold when we were there. It is right on the water and we were able to take beach walks each day, go to LaConner to explore and drive up Chuckanut to Bellingham. The owner is easy to work with and told us to make ourselves at home which we did. I also appreciated that we could bring our cat. It feels like someone lives there and they just left for the weekend, complete with a full pantry and overflowing cupboards and drawers. We didn't mind because we liked the homeyness of it but just know that in advance in case you are looking for something that feels a little less personal. The only things I would have wished for was different (more) silverware and curtains on the bedroom window and bathroom upstairs. It felt a little creepy to change in full view of the houses next door. Be prepared to wash all your linen before you leave. it is the first time I have rented a house where that is required and for the amount we paid per night it was surprising but I knew it going in so we just planned our time accordingly. I'd happily rent again- it was a warm and wonderful place to gather our families which consisted of four adults and four grown children. I'd highly recommend going to Anelia's in LaConner for lunch or dinner. It's terrific!"
