  • Sensational Seacliff Cottage

"My husband Chris and I had an amazing, relaxing 7 night stay at Seacliff Cottage. The peace and quiet and all of natures splendor was exactly what we needed. Chris birdied every day right from the cottage and said it was spectacular. I SUPed daily, putting my board in just down the driveway. The skies of the sunrises and sunsets breathtaking and the stars at night amazing. All the wildlife so fun! We enjoyed rides to Moran State Park (fresh water Cascade Lake nice to SUP on) for hikes and Eastsound for a few hours to grab groceries or a growler of beer from Island Hoppin' Brewery and back to the cabin. Doug has thought of everything! He was there to greet us and we never saw him or needed him again! Everything was perfect! Definitely one of the best VRBO cabins we have ever booked. Totally relaxing and exactly what we needed. We will be back. Thank you so much Doug."

  • a relaxing experience in a wonderful setting

"My husband and I and our 2 kids rented the cottage for a week. Part of the reason I picked it was the great reviews it had received . It definitely lived up to expectations and then some. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, plenty of good quality towels and nice cozy comforters on the beds. Loved the hot tub,the gas fireplace and the deer that practically walk right up to you in the backyard. The owner has great taste in decorating too. A beautiful spot with a great view. Did not want to ever leave."

  • Wonderful view and very comfortable

"We had a wonderful time at Bakerview Retreat. Mari and Nick were very friendly and welcoming. The inside of the house was very clean and roomy. We felt like we were out in the wilderness with the beautiful gardens, trees and view. We would stay here again."

  • Relaxing weekend away with friends

"I decided to gather 9 of my closest friends for a weekend getaway just outside the city. Heading up to Guemes island was a mixture of fun adventure and relaxing getaway. We were able to enjoy our time and below I'll provide the pros/cons and my tips for future vacationers. Pros: The ferry was short, cheap, and travels across often. There was practically no noise, traffic, or other people around at all during our stay, the house is completely surrounded and feels very private. The house was very spacious and provided exactly what we needed for a short weekend away, including some board games and the garage entertainment (pool/ping pong) was greatly appreciated. The back deck is very spacious and it was very easy to accommodate everyone for relaxing and chatting in a large circle. The yard is also very spacious and can easily have multiple people running around at once. Cons: (Most of these cons were a result of me and not the house) There are only a few outdoor chairs, so bring some if you like to lounge. The ferry can only hold 20-22 cars at a time so get there a little early otherwise you may have to wait. There was no outdoor fire pit, which would have been really fun but again there was never one promised so I can't be upset about not having one. The propane tank was empty but we filled it at the local store and the home-owner reimbursed us, yay! Pro-tips: Do your research on the ferry schedule and get there 20-25 minutes early. Pack plenty of chairs and everything you'll need to enjoy they weekend (outdoor games, drinks, water, etc...). If you can't find the ping pong paddles look in the drawers by the garage sink... trust me... they are there! I recommend bringing flip flops or slippers since there is a lot of in and out of the back patio (lazy pro-tip). Bring fancy cooking utensils, the basics are there. The house was amazing and we had a great time, enjoy yourself and do the 1.1 mile Guemes Mountain hike, it was beautiful."
