  • A lovely house with heart

"This is a charming house in the woods with a modest view of the water and a lovely private beach a short walk away. There is a very friendly community living my on this part of the island and We felt welcomed. Friends from Seattle were succesful in catching crab for our last dinner and it was amazing crab. Crab licenses are easy to obtain and the folding crab trap will return for more crabbing in the years ahead. We have rented houses on Lopez for twenty years and this one has something special about it. I think it's all the loving detail of the wall colors, the fireplace in view of the large kitchen, the hearty geraniums surrounding the porch, the deer coming in to investigate the garden, the deck off the master bedroom, the lovely oriental rugs on the tile floors. We felt comfortable and we had a wonderful time cooking for friends and family. My family rented a much more modern house on the other side of the island and preferred Wren's House. There's everything you need for a memorable stay on Lopez."

  • This house and location was perfect for the 13 of us.

"We loved how we were right on the ocean with a deck looking out on it. The private fire pit and hot tub was a big hit too. The house is set up so the moment you walk in you have the feeling of home, it's well stocked with all the household item you will need and then some! Over all we loved this house and specially the location with the ferry within walking distance. The Shattos' and their manager Anthony were very accommodating."

  • Fun AND Tranquility

"Lopez was familiar to us as campers, but this was a pure treat to have a clean "home base" and no fuss kitchen. The village is just a short walk away. Fisherman's Bay, seals, birds, and bunnies are in your front yard. There were two bicycles available and beach access anytime you wanted it. We learned that the view had to be experienced from both upstairs and downstairs, each giving their own perspective. Hot chocolate or coffee on either deck is a must while watching at least one regular seal. If you get chilly you can choose from the fireplace inside or the firepit outside. There were games, books, TV and movies available. The neighbors were quiet and the sunsets were unforgettable! Tamara and Tom came in person to show us around the place and cover any questions we had. We were privileged to spend 3 nights and wished we could have stayed much longer."

  • Nice Weekend Getaway.

"The property was very clean and in a nice quiet area of the beach. The wood-burning stove was a big feature for us city-dwellers. Also, the grocery stores and restaurants are conveniently located only about 10 minutes away. The management company was very helpful with directions and staying in contact."
