"This was our second trip to Lopez and to the Sunrise Cliff House. We have been to Orcas, San Juan and Shaw islands as well. Lopez is definitely our favorite island and the Cliff House is our favorite place to stay. It cannot be beat for comfort, solitude, views and general relaxation. The sunrise on clear mornings was breathtaking and we love seeing the ferries go by, especially at night when they are all lit-up. We spend 8 days reading, hiking, doing puzzles and catching up with family that lives elsewhere. We never lacked new places to explore, which made it tough to balance that with just kicking back and enjoying the cabin. Thank you for providing such a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped home. We felt like we were home! We are still waving at people as we drive the streets at home. We loved that about the Lopez experience, but people here look at us like we are crazy... We will be back!"

  • Most beautiful place in all the world

"We celebrated the 20th annual ladies kayak adventure aka Peggy's Passionate Paddling Pals this weekend and stayed at the Channel House on Lopez Island. It was such a wonderful place for all the ladies to have a large place to gather and celebrate this annual event. The layout of the house gave large areas to share and more quiet spaces for reading and journaling. There was plenty of room and comfortable clean beds with soft sheets! The house was spotless and just about every amenity one could hope for including two dishwashers !! The hot tub was clean and such a wonderful place to relax after a long day of kayaking. The huge deck view was so beautiful and just a long stair case away from the beach. Interesting and eclectic art filled the walls! Terry the manager was accessible to meet our needs. I was also able to access the owners while seeking information about if this house would meet our needs. There was an informational notebook to tell us about the house and all the cool things to do while on Lopez.I felt like I was sharing such a special place with my friends which will never be forgotten by all the gals. We have rented many houses over the years but never one as awesome as the Channel House. We hope to return next year and hope all of you reading this will have a chance to rent this most beautiful slice of paradise!"

  • Best house you can rent in the San juans

"I cannot sing the praises for this location loud enough. The house itself was breathtaking, busting an amazing view from your lofted bedroom, an relaxing space in the back with a running fountain, and a kitchen with almost any adminaty you'd need. I have to say my favorite part of the cabin was all the incredible art they had, that alone really makes this place unlike any other you'll stay in. The surrounding locations will fill plenty of your time, being so close to iceberg point and all the other gorgeous hiking on the south side of the island. And besides all of this, the owners and operators of this location are THE BEST! I was going out for a romantic weekend and upon request they had flowers and champagne waiting for us. It was the perfect cherry on top of an already amazing stay. I highly recommend this location for your next stay! -Z"

  • Fun AND Tranquility

"Lopez was familiar to us as campers, but this was a pure treat to have a clean "home base" and no fuss kitchen. The village is just a short walk away. Fisherman's Bay, seals, birds, and bunnies are in your front yard. There were two bicycles available and beach access anytime you wanted it. We learned that the view had to be experienced from both upstairs and downstairs, each giving their own perspective. Hot chocolate or coffee on either deck is a must while watching at least one regular seal. If you get chilly you can choose from the fireplace inside or the firepit outside. There were games, books, TV and movies available. The neighbors were quiet and the sunsets were unforgettable! Tamara and Tom came in person to show us around the place and cover any questions we had. We were privileged to spend 3 nights and wished we could have stayed much longer."
