  • Winter getaway

"We spent 3 nights at the cottage for my 58th birthday getaway. It is a beautiful property with stunning water views from the floor to ceiling windows that wrap around 2 sides of the cottage. The pictures on the website do not do it justice! We enjoyed the gas fireplace immensely and snuggled in for the windy, snowy new years eve day! Note that your restaurant options are pretty limited in the winter! So we took advantage of the cottage kitchen. Pretty much anything you need to prepare and serve a meal (less the actual food items) is available. The Beach House Café down the street was fantastic. We had both a great dinner and a delicious New Years morning Sunday brunch there. Be sure to go to the Otto preserve for a nice walk through the woods. And don't miss visiting the secluded beach behind the island's church! We highly recommend this place and hope to be back another time."

  • Very comfortable, private & beautiful. Serious steps required.

"We had a wonderful time. Very comfortable house. While the steps are mentioned, we thought having 4-wheel drive would get us close to the front door. It only gets you to the top of the steep series of steps. Beach front is limited with tide but something was almost always present for us to walk out on. Tide was too high for clamming while we were there (Nov.) but the sand was visible just under the low tide waterline. Beautiful rocks on the shoreline. A great view from the deck, living & kitchen areas, and master bedroom. Fire pit was fun, but be ready to make several trips up the stairs for firewood for s'mores. The audible surf added to amazing sleep for everyone, as did very comfortable beds. We came during the off season but were still able to enjoy a number of the art studios on the island. Clear and prompt communication with homeowners on several different inquiries. New owners are building on a well-established vacation house with numerous repeat visitors. We'd definitely consider coming back. Suggestions for improvement are minor. Be clear that the steep long staircase is required regardless of 4-wheel drive. Make more firewood available for easy access or change verbiage for more realistic expectations. In the kitchen, temporary storage containers would be a huge bonus for storing leftovers. And, if kitchen staples are mentioned as being available make sure they are."

  • Great little spot by beach

"We had a great time spending over a week at this cottage. The layout is great with a bedroom and bathroom at each end and living areas in the middle. Owner was great with communicating and letting us know how everything works and when we had a small heater malfunction he offered to come and remedy it that night. Close to the bay and a state park great for quick activities outside in the freezing cold and coming back in for a hot cup of coffee. Would love to return when weather is nicer."

  • Very beautiful cabin with lots of amenities

"Very beautiful place to stay. The indoor hot tub overlooking the water was amazing. We stayed for New Years Eve and even got a little snow! Everything you need is there, lots of extras in the kitchen.. cooking oil, sugar, etc.. Would love to go back in the summer!"
