  • Pinecone Thanksgiving

"Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Pinecone Cottage. We loved the location, the decor and the size of the house. It didn't hurt that we had perfect ( for late November) weather the week we were there. The views are fantastic. We could see the full moon rise and the sunset colors. Eagles flew by the windows. We loved walking down to the adjoining beach. Moran State Park is very nearby and we enjoyed several hikes there as well as seeing the cutthroat trout spawning. We also enjoyed the beach at Obstruction Pass State Park which is also close by. You are very close to downtown Eastsound which is convenient for grocery shopping and restaurants. There were six adults and four children staying in the cottage. The bedrooms are spacious and the three older kids enjoyed having their own nook. The two year old slept in a pack n play which is provided. The kitchen is very well stocked and we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner there with just a few items we brought from home. Karen was very helpful about what was supplied in the kitchen so we knew what to bring. There are two washers and dryers, a dishwasher and three and a half bathrooms which were very convenient for 10 people. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. My daughter recently asked my grandsons where they wanted to go for spring break and they both said they wanted to back to the Pinecone Cottage! It's a great place for all ages."

  • Birthday Getaway

"How do I even start...the pictures on-line don't do this house justice. The house is beautiful, large and has an amazing deck and hot tub with views you cannot even imagine. Going in the Fall seemed crazy we thought at first but watching the weather from the big windows was awesome. Fireplace made it cozy. The house is well equipped for family and for a long stay. Being a chef- walking in and seeing a gas stove top with open kitchen was perfect. We only ate out once during our 6 day stay, which was at the Island Skillet. We give it 5 stars too. One of the highlights was when we saw 3 orca whales from the window of the house and also going up to Mt. Constitution and the lakes along the way! The beach down the block is very nice. There is a sitting area on top of the bluff that has a panoramic view of the islands. The little beach has perfect skipping stones and clear clean water. Had weather been warmer we probably would have went for a swim. We saw Eagles and Seals and Ravens... Oh my! and lots and lots of deer and turkeys. This house is off the beaten path which is one of the things we loved about it. We hope to stay again soon."

  • Everything You Need

"We had a wonderful stay at Delongview. The owner seems to have given quite a bit of thought to what you might need to make your stay enjoyable. The house is well maintained, clean, and plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with with everything you need to cook a great meal or even bake a cake. We cooked breakfast and dinner here three days and never had to say, "I wish there was a .." . The bed in the master is quite comfy and the deep jetted tub was fabulous. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evening and with wood provided we made use of the fire pit too. While there is quite a collection of movies, many are older VHS with some DVD's. This didn't really matter to us, but if you are depending on this for entertainment you might want to bring a few of your favorite movies with you. Located on a private road it was quiet, peaceful, with the occasional car driving by on the road below. The house is in close proximity to Eastsound where there are shops and a very nice market. We enjoyed the Farmer's Market there on Saturday which led to us cooking for 3 nights. : ) We would definitely consider staying here again if we were in the area."

  • Pictures do not do it justice

"Wonderful house, kitchen was very well stocked with spices, cookware, etc which is always a treat. The pictures of this property do not do it justice. Walking into the main room was breathtaking. Hanging out on a sunny day with the doors open was spectacular. Incredible value."
