  • Otter Magic is Certainly Magical!!

"Recently, myself and three of my best friends had the opportunity to spend two nights on Otter Magic. From the parking lot, as we approached the floating home we were in love and once we walked in we were so happy that we decided to stay here! In fact, when it came time to leave, we did not want to go. We spent two glorious nights eating fresh lobster courtesy of Rick and Wendy, drinking wine, watching the family of otters play right off of the back deck and spending quality time with one another. Thank you Rick and Wendy for your hospitality and we hope to come back sooner than later!"

  • Beautiful home and view!

"This property was the perfect location for our high school girlfriend reunion! Beautiful log architecture house big enough to accommodate 9 of us comfortably. We relaxed on the large deck that has a view of the harbor and after dark we reminisced and played games in front of the magnificent, two story stone fireplace. The property is very private in a lovely setting surrounded by woods - the only neighbors we saw were several deer, birds and a black fox. It's conveniently located just a few minutes to the town of Friday Harbor, where we enjoyed great restaurants and shopping. We rented kayaks for a guided tour, went whale watching, and took a ferry to Victoria, BC. Awesome vacation rental!"

  • Excellent Stay. Close to everything!

"We stayed here for 2 nights and were very pleased with our stay. The condo is close to everything and has a beautiful view. The bed is very comfortable and this is a condo to stay at if you want a relaxing trip. Also, use Maya Whale Watching tour. This came highly recommended and we really enjoyed it."

  • Great stay on San Juan!

"We stayed in this incredible home for four nights at the end of July. Everything was very clean and comfortable, but the view was outrageous! We had a little difficulty finding the house when we arrived after dark, but once we got in the door, we knew we had arrived! It's a little 80's, but quite luxurious. It was the perfect location for exploring the island. It's located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood where we saw black-tailed deer. There are orange-barked madrona trees lining the shore. The living area and kitchen (and the master bedroom) look out over the water and the sunsets are fabulous. The first morning we were there, we saw a mother and baby Orca out in front of the house. The house is walking distance to Snug Harbor where we went whale watching with Maya's Legacy (and saw two humpback whales!). We spent one day in Roche Harbor and another on Orcas enjoying Moran State Park and the Farmers' Market, before returning to this comfortable home. We had my birthday dinner (my Sweet Sixtieth!) of Dungeness Crab and prawns at the house. We were a little surprised at all the cleaning we were expected to do before leaving, including washing, drying, and folding all the towels and sheets, vacuuming, sanitizing the shower, etc.. There was a checklist, with an explanation that whatever the cleaning crew had to do , beyond one (or two?) hours of work, would be taken out of the deposit. Maybe if we hadn't done all of it (and we cleaned like crazy!), only a $50 fee would have been taken out, but maybe more (???) Karen was very helpful when I left a camera charger there; she mailed it back to Texas for me within a day of finding it. Overall, we would definitely recommend this wonderful place!"
