  • Home away from home

"~ Verified order Mary and Fred have created a special, private and artistic place for pure relaxation and beauty from every angle. There was absolutely nothing missing from the Garden Cottage by the Sea. Anything you could imagine needing was within reach. There were pieces of art collected from all over the world as well as comfortable furniture...especially the bed! The hot tub was relaxing as well. The drive to town was only about 10 minutes and we ate at some excellent restaurants recommended by Mary. She had made up booklets with information about restaurants, activities, places to visit, etc. We will stay there again and recommend it highly. We also went whale watching and saw 2 humpback whales. Very exciting!"

  • Fall in Friday Harbor

"Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is a beautiful home with a great view of the harbor. You can watch the ferry boats coming and going. We got to see two eagles land in the top of a tree nearby. We have stayed here before and will definitely come back again. It is within walking distance of grocery store, ferry boat and eating out."

  • Outstanding!

"We stayed in the Studio in late Sept 2016. SO pleased! Arrived on Clipper Ferry before check-in, but Kirsten let us store our luggage in room while we went to Farmers Market almost next door. Everything was spotless and the kitchen is stocked with every pot, pan, dish, corkscrew, etc. that you could possibly need. And coffee and tea. Very spacious. Good Wi-Fi, limited TV stations. The website photos are spot on. Walking distance to Ferry, bus that goes around island, grocery store, shops, restaurants, Whale Museum, etc. The Cafe Demeter bakery next door was excellent. I had their lox and cream cheese on bagel three days in a row! I highly recommend Courtyard Suites. Only drawbacks were the three mornings we were awakened early by loud garbage bin dumping behind us (but bed was so comfortable we went right back to sleep) and no grab bars in bathtub for those who prefer baths. Just an aside: the best meal we had was at Vinny's Ristorante on West Street."

  • Exquisite Whale Heaven

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you love being intimately in nature, yet very comfortably so, and are interested in exquisite, jaw-dropping, expansive views, the profound energy and sense of actually being "on" the water, yet deeply rooted and nestled in the amazing stone of the cliff and surrounding lush vegitation and forest...with multiple up-close opportunities to observe slow moving large pods of orca off your deck (and, if you are doubly blessed, with humpbacks also!), a large sea lion lounging on the rock below the house, seals and otters drifting below you while kingfishers, eagles, shore birds and owls serenade you - then this is THE place to have the privilege to stay! Very private and quiet - even with other houses around; nice outdoor places to be alone or with others; very clean; the surroundings are very homey and cozy, like a great family lake house... kitchen is bright and well appointed, nice and abundant linens, great views from all rooms, lots of space for spread-out big groups/families. For those who desire a 5-star esthetic luxury - it probably won't suit you as the decor is somewhat dated with functional yet interesting and eclectic electrical functioning - but you cannot possibly get the first described nature "luxuries" at a high-end resort. We'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it if you love nature and the amazing environment here!"
