  • Perfect Suite in Friday Harbor

"My wife, daughter, and son-in-law spent four wonderful nights at Springtree Suite in Friday Harbor. The location could not have been better. It was right on the edge of the downtown district, so it was in a peaceful location, but within three blocks of all of the restaurants, shops, ferry, etc. The suite itself was immaculate, well decorated, and very comfortable for the four of us. The kitchen is well equipped for those who want to prepare meals. The beds are comfortable, and the bedrooms spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was spotless, and plenty of linens were available. The very large living area that encompassed the kitchen, dining, and living areas provided a sense of spaciousness, and made relaxing easy. One off street parking space is available, and that is a real convenience in Friday Harbor, as virtually all of the on street parking in the immediate vicinity has a time limit. It is a great base of operations for exploring the rest of San Juan Island, or for venturing out to other islands as well. Although we did not need anything during our stay, the owner was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival, and provided very specific contact information if we had a problem. I have no doubt that she would have been very responsive to any issues had something arisen. It is worthwhile to note, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, that there is one flight of stairs to get to the suite, which was not an issue at all for us. I give Springtree Suite my highest recommendation without reservation."

  • A quaint and delectable place!

"Two of my friends and I stayed here while our friend got married at Roche Harbor (which was about a 20 minute drive.) It was our first time going to San Juan Island, so we didn't know what to expect. We were surprised at how close this rental was to downtown Friday Harbor (which we all fell in love with.) The rental itself was a little paradise. Incredibly adorable, and affordable! We really enjoyed looking at the views from the windows, as well as taking photos in the backyard (when we were all dressed up for the wedding). The bathtub outside was a fantastic prop! :) I highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to get away for a weekend to relax (or if you're stuck having to go to a wedding). I would definitely stay there again."

  • Unique and memorable experience

"We stayed here for two nights during a two week fall vacation in the Pacific Northwest. Being a first time visitor to San Juan Island, I was unsure what the best location is. There was just something about this property listing that sounded appealing so we booked it and wow, are we glad we did! The property is very quiet and peaceful and full of beautiful artwork by Nick, the owner, who we were fortunate to meet. The cottage is private, comfortable and well equipped. Designed by Nick, it has some unusual touches and features like a concrete sink in the bathroom - who knew?! The location is really close (less than 5 minutes) to Roche Harbor where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner on the water. It's also just a short and pretty drive (10-15 minutes) to Friday Harbor. If you want to get away, relax and have privacy, this is the place. I hope we can return for a longer stay next time."

  • Another great experience

"We came back here again this year---great as always. This time we were very fortunate to see whales right below windows."
