  • Magical sunsets and endless entertainment!

"We spent a week on Orcas at the timber lodge with our wedding in the middle at the red rabbit farm which is another magical place on orcas. We had a small family wedding and had our family with us the entire week. We rented another great house up the hill from the timber lodge. The timber lodge was perfect. It's so close to Moran, and centrally located making it close to eastbound, doe bay, and not too far from westbound or deer harbor. If you run out of things to do at and around this house there is something wrong with you. There are endless things to do and one of our favorites was to hang out on the giant deck that faces west and watch the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen for nearly 3 hours at this time of year. Richard and Lisa are fantastic. They are very helpful and kind people. Thanks for everything and we will be back. Travis"

  • Pinecone Thanksgiving

"Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Pinecone Cottage. We loved the location, the decor and the size of the house. It didn't hurt that we had perfect ( for late November) weather the week we were there. The views are fantastic. We could see the full moon rise and the sunset colors. Eagles flew by the windows. We loved walking down to the adjoining beach. Moran State Park is very nearby and we enjoyed several hikes there as well as seeing the cutthroat trout spawning. We also enjoyed the beach at Obstruction Pass State Park which is also close by. You are very close to downtown Eastsound which is convenient for grocery shopping and restaurants. There were six adults and four children staying in the cottage. The bedrooms are spacious and the three older kids enjoyed having their own nook. The two year old slept in a pack n play which is provided. The kitchen is very well stocked and we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner there with just a few items we brought from home. Karen was very helpful about what was supplied in the kitchen so we knew what to bring. There are two washers and dryers, a dishwasher and three and a half bathrooms which were very convenient for 10 people. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. My daughter recently asked my grandsons where they wanted to go for spring break and they both said they wanted to back to the Pinecone Cottage! It's a great place for all ages."

  • Beautiful Tranquil Property

"My husband and I enjoyed two nights at the Cabin. It is as described and even more. The fresh flowers and local Blue Heron coffee were a much appreciated touch. The Cabin and grounds were very well maintained and we wanted for nothing. We hope to return in the future and would recommend the property for people who love a place to relax and enjoy nature. Thank you for renting the property to us. Jerry and Carolyn British Columbia Canada"

  • Amazing House. Amazing Property. Amazing View.

"16 members of our extended family ( ages 4-70+) gathered here for our annual reunion and it was the perfect spot for us . Everybody's needs were met: Kids ( ages 4-18) loved the pool. The adventure seekers had great access to local trails for hiking and serious mountain biking. The golfers were very satisfied with local courses. The shoppers enjoyed Bellingham and La Conor. And those of us who like to chill by the pool with a book for most of the day managed to get out for some great runs and bike rides in to town for delicious food when we felt like being active. We spent all of evenings together with cocktails by the pool, dinners on the deck and a walk to the bluff to take in the incredible sunsets.; a beautiful way to show off the PNW to our East Coast family members. The house itself has everything you need and then some and the manager was very eager to accommodate and help in anyway needed during our stay. If you want a private , exquisite property that sleeps16 people comfortably with tons of amenities - this is your spot. You won't want to leave the house once you check in - It's awesome!"
