  • Lovely, quiet cottage :)

"This Bellingham cottage is a well stocked & comfy getaway!! During our stay, our family celebrated thanksgiving together. We found all the necessary kitchen gadgets, bowls & dishes necessary to help us bake & create our thanksgiving meal. We appreciated the cleanliness & small details that made our stay so enjoyable!!"

  • Too cool

"We had a wonderful thanksgiving at the Rose Mountain lodge, plenty of room for our party of seven. Great kitchen and really nice fireplace. Weather was cool and a little rainy but the house has a good heating system, and plenty of firewood just outside. I would recommend any larger group check it out... you will like it. stewart"

  • Beautiful!

"We were the envy of our family! Much large than expected. Easy access to the beach and resort. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to the hotel. We would return again."

  • Great retreat for the family

"We stayed in early October with our two young children. It was a miserable day the first day, but we were cozy in our cabin on the lake. The fire was nice and the kept the whole place VERY toasty. We enjoyed playing cribbage, yahtzee, drinking hot chocolate and watching movies while we watched the rain come down. The kids loved all of the 'hiding' spots in the loft area and the views were stunning. We were lucky the next day as the weather cleared. We went to nearby Whatcom Lake trail system (5 min drive away) and enjoyed a stunning walk as a family. We came back in the afternoon and enjoyed fishing off the dock (no luck) and toodling around on the canoe and kayaks. It is a peaceful, serene lake and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We even saw a great blue heron fishing on the banks. The proximity to the city is awesome; we didn't feel like cooking on the second night, so we just ordered some take out and we only had a 10 min drive to pick it up. A couple was renting the suite underneath us, but we couldn't hear them at all. We did have to share the kayaks, but we worked out the timing and it was no big deal. I don't know how busy it gets in the summer, but we were the only people on the lake most of the time. I would highly recommend! Place was very clean and had everything we needed (wood and tools, cookware, towels, blankets, etc). We booked very last minute, but the communication was prompt."
