  • Wonderful getaway

"This is a wonderful place with a charming atmosphere. I took my daughters here for a girls weekend and we had the greatest time. We planned on spending lots of time on the beach, but ended up mostly staying in, enjoying the ambience of this place. so relaxing & had everything we needed. Cute colors, comfy beds, cozy living room, northwest kitchen, outdoor patio, nice area for walking. We had a couple of questions and Myrna was available and very helpful with these. Would definitely recommend!"

  • Loved this quiet water view retreat - heaven!!!

"My husband and I stayed this July for 4 nights and loved the place - nice inside, big windows with a view of the water - peaceful in the woods - the manager who gave us the keys Lily was so nice and helpful, the owner Sandra (whose home is on the property facing the water) was so nice and sweet. Hot tub down the short trail facing the water - wow!!! There are 3 studios in the building behind their home which all have views - they have everything you need inside and just the perfect location to town and the ferry - we would definitely go back and stay there - loved it!!!"

  • Cozy Getaway

"This was a lovely place to stay. We rented the guest house and there was no one staying in the main house, so it was extremely private. The place was easy to find. A perfect little studio with a great kitchen. The place had everything you needed. The hot tub was wonderful. There was a family of deer that roamed the property which was really cool. Everything was an easy short drive from the house. We had a great time and hope to stay here again!"

  • Amazing views and tranquility

"We stayed for a week in early October, the views and tranquility of this place were awesome. The house is about a 20 minute drive from Friday Harbor and isn't hard to find as long as you don't let my wife navigate. The architecture of the house is certainly as described, a modern and interesting blend of craftsman meets the orient. The layout with the two masters on different levels is nice for multiple families, as in our case we were traveling with friends, three small children, and a dog. We put the kids off in the upstairs wing of the house and took that master and let our friends have their privacy downstairs. The steam shower in the upstairs master was a nice feature. We found a few things around the great room that we needed to move out of reach from the kids but generally very family friendly, and the gated part of the yard down and around from the deck also makes the place dog friendly as other reviewers have noted. The kitchen and BBQ were pretty well stocked with basics and great for prepping meals for seven, although some non-stick pots and pans would have made cleanups easier. Our kids loved looking at the deer from the big window seat and all enjoyed curling up there with a cup of coffee or a book to enjoy the view. Bit of a bummer that there was no TV anywhere in the common space to catch a football game, but it seems to be by design and we didn't really miss it. Overall a great time, but as another reviewer noted, some additional instructions about how to work things around the house like the fireplaces and hot tub would have been helpful as it is a modern house with a lot of buttons and switches and we weren't able to figure those things out. The hot tub never heated up, however the management couple did offer to come out to help, but we decided we'd rather just spend time alone than having people at the house working on things. Cell phone and internet service was also spotty at best, but hopefully that's not why you go to the San Juans. Overall a great place to stay."
