  • Comfortable Cabin, Fantastic Location

"We (two families with young children) loved our stay at the River House. The location is great -- we were able to hit the MRNP trails early and then spend our late afternoons/early evenings on the deck and exploring the river near the property. It was HOT when we stayed (close to 100 degrees every day), but the deck gets great shade in the afternoons and with the windows open and ceiling fan going, we were very comfortable at night. The view from the cabin is lovely, and it was so soothing to hear the sound of the Nisqually River nearby. Inside, the home is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and kid-friendly. Highly recommended!"

  • Christmas Vacation/Family Get together

"We spent the week with our Son and family for Christmas at this fabulous facility!! We even had a White Christmas--as fresh snow fell just before Christmas. It was spectacular to put it mildly. White Pass is close by for snow skiing. The facility is well furnished throughout, think the only thing we purchased was a cookie sheet which we left there. Had to bake cookies for Santa!! Would definitely stay here again as the location was great!!! Carrie was fantastic in helping answer questions and making sure we were comfortable. Would recommend this facility to anyone. Thank you."

  • Cozy and Relaxing

"My husband and I just returned from our 3 nights up at this cabin, and could not be more pleased with our stay. Everything was perfect and I want to thank Dan and Susan for really making this lovely cabin a fantastic little getaway available for those of us so busy with life that sometimes you just have to stop and disconnect. From the moment we arrived, to watching all the wildlife, to the fantastic VHS videos provided, we let the stresses of life melt away. Of course we were early in the season to go up to Mt. St. Helens, but we did drive over to the Ape Caves and walk in the nature paths in the area for some fresh air. Evening spent listening to our Jazz music by the wood fireplace and hot coffee on the porch laughing at the Chimpmunks, BlueJays and Squirrels to the sound of the rain on the roof was complete bliss. The cabin had everything we needed for our basic comforts and the feeling of privacy and beautiful views was just what we both needed. We look forward to returning one day and enjoying our time in this cabin again."

  • The perfect place for a family vacation!

"Our family of 8 adults and 4 children had more than enough room to relax during our week stay at this beautiful home. The home was spotless when we arrived, the beds were very comfortable, the living areas were spacious and the view of the lake was spectacular. We were just minutes away from the boat launch and beach on Mayfield Lake. The many amenities provided by the owners made us feel welcome. The large kitchen was well-stocked with appliances, cookware and tableware. The owners put so much thought into the details that rather than feeling like a rental it felt like a home away from home. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing get away and gorgeous views all encompassed in a lovely home."
