  • Are you sure I can't give 6 out of 5 stars?

"Sublime, peaceful, serene, refreshing, and so much more. There is an endless list of words I could supply for this place, but I am given a character limit and want to spend as much of that as I can telling YOU why your search for a place to stay ends right here; The view is gorgeous. From early morning fog wafting over the pristine lake-top, to the distant greenery in the hills beyond. It really feels like your own little slice of heaven. The owners treat you amazingly. They do a lot to show you how excited they are to share their home with you. They welcome you from the moment you step inside (really in the correspondence prior to that), and are a text away if you need anything during your trip. They give a very reasonable and modest list of rules to abide by while you use their home (respect quiet hours, was the dishes before you leave, get all the towels into the bathroom, etc...) The house is incredibly inviting. The theme is a mix of western and modern. Just wait until you see the beautiful wood paneling they did in the master bedroom (you'll see it just below the 50 inch HD TV and surrounding the metal-tip dart board). The living area is hardwood with a beautiful white-fur rug covering a large portion of it. There are two indoor fireplaces. One in the master bedroom that is on a thermostat. The other is a wood stove in the living area. There is also an outdoor firepit near the shoreline, but we did not use this during our stay as it was snowing. Last, they have a large and very modern hot tub in the back yard. The lighting features are very fun to play with, and the controls are quite easy to work. In all, a great warm and friendly place to be at, that truly feels like a home away from home. For those of you that have work email on your phone, you will be elated to know that there is no wifi, so you won't have to worry about any fire drills coming through during your stay :)"

  • Great getaway!

"We had a wonderful time staying here-- the house itself is beautiful. It is probably one of the closest places to skiing -- but close enough to Wenatchee that it is an easy drive to the store. We cooked up a storm in the kitchen-- we did not eat out at all other than on the slopes. The beds are queen sized and comfortable. My 10-year old son slept in the kids-only room-- it is a crawl space converted to a kids room so anyone older than that will be too tall. It was good to have wifi there as my phone had zero signal at the house (T-mobile). Our one verizon phone had 1 bar. There were a couple urgent things to handle back home, and I was glad for that one bar of signal! Overall we loved it and were sad to leave at the end of the week. I hope to be back soon!"

  • Wonderful Stay!

"Our "family reunion" in Kettle Falls was greatly enhanced for those of us fortunate enough to be able to stay at Kelly & Heidi's Mingo Mountain Retreat, Our daughter found it online and contacted Kelly, then we easily completed the arrangements with Heidi. The place is so pleasant, having such a "homey" feel, with character & furnishings reminding one of "Grandma's House". Our family's visiting with each other was eased late into every night by the old-fashioned comfort that we felt. Our only regret is that it will probably be a long time before we have need to stay there again! Highly recommended for friends & family groups having use for up to 6 bedrooms."

  • Weekend getaway

"This was a great place to stay. The house was very clean and Amy was a wonderful person to work with. The views are beautiful and overall this place had good quality towels/beds/furniture/kitchen appliances/etc. Some places look nice in photos and turn out to be filled with cheapy things, this is actually a quality place to stay in, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the garage had a bunch of red rock that had been tracked into the garage with cars coming and going (from the city rocking the roads in the snowy weather). This made it hard to not track this stuff into the house and it dirtied up the floors faster than I would have liked. Otherwise this place was great!"
