  • Just what we were looking for

"Had a group of guys looking to get away for the weekend. The house was exactly what we had hoped for. The water was fine and the house was in good condition with a well stocked kitchen (we cook a lot) and nice outdoor/indoor rec areas. Certainly no foul smells, etc. The owner seemed to be a normal, responsive person. Rent with confidence."

  • Great cabin in the woods

"We had a wonderful time on our week long vacation to Stonedrifts Cabin. The cabin is in great shape and was very clean upon arrival. We were provided great directions from the owners on how to get to the cabin as well as how to access the cabin itself. The outdoor scenery of the cabin provides a beautiful view of a nearby mountain. The cabin itself is also on a small mountain side with a lot to explore. We brought our two dogs and this location is perfect if your dogs like to run around. The dogs had a wonderful time. The inside was well equipped and decorated very nice. We spent most days wandering around the mountain side that the cabin resides on. But I would definitely recommend visiting Eidolon Preserve which is about 15 mins away from the cabin on Orleans Rd. It provides nicely marked hiking trails, a little bit of history in a beautiful stone house on the property, as well as a stunning view on the Yellow Loop. The views out to the Preserve itself are beautiful as well. We visited the town of Berkeley Springs which is about 25-30 mins away from the cabin and it was a cute town with nice shops to visit, but pay attention to the days and times they are open most places are only open Fri-Sun. There is also a historic hot springs spa in Berkeley Springs but we did no visit it. I would also highly recommend dining at Panorama At The Peak restaurant which is right on your way to the cabin, about 15-20 mins away. It provides an amazing view of mountains and valleys as well as the Great Cacapon River cutting through. There is also a great atmosphere, service, and wonderful farm to table food. Again, pay attention to the hours and days they are open. The owners were easy to work with and prompt in responding. I had a couple questions while at the cabin and received a response and resolution quickly. The only thing that could be improved about this experience were the beds and some curtains on the bedroom windows. The beds are very flat and firm and a couple memory foam mattress toppers would do wonders. Also it got light around 5:30 a.m. when we were there and not having curtains on the bedroom windows is hard for those who are light sensitive or like to sleep in. Be prepared for bugs as well if visiting during the warm months. Overall I would recommend this cabin to any potential renters. Thank you again for opening up your cabin to us."

  • Pleasant Stay

"Spent a pleasant and comfortable weekend at Lazy Day despite the 95-100 degree weather. The cottage was clean, nicely furnished and well-equipped. No need for the hot tub but the screened porch provided a temporary escape from the air conditioner. There is plenty to do if you're a hiker, cyclist, or just enjoy hanging out."

  • Comfortable relaxing get-away

"I've stayed at this cabin several times and always enjoy coming to the area. Our favorite things to do: - Soak away our worries in the hot tub. - Make s'mores by the campfire - Marvel at how many stars you can see in the sky - Relax away from the city - Explore the woods, the creek, and run around the ball park with our dog - Go whitewater rafting in Harper's Ferry, bike the C&O towpath, walk through the PawPaw tunnel. - Soak in the baths and get a massage at Berkeley Springs State Park - Swim in the neighborhood lake - Sit, eat, and drink on the screened-in porch - Play table-top shuffleboard in the game room - Play the piano in the loft - Family game night by the wood stove There is plenty to do in the area or sometimes we just hang out all weekend long in the comfortable relaxing cabin."
