  • Great family time away!

"What an amazing place to get away to. Less than 2 hours from our home made it easy to pack up our 21mo old and get on our way. There was plenty of room to spread out and move around comfortably. The full kitchen allowed us to cook most of our meals right in the cabin and pack picnic lunches for our day trips. I loved that our LO could have a room to himself so my husband and I could enjoy some time together. There was no need to go completely off the grid with the wireless internet and satellite cable. We were able to plan our day trips easily and still find some shows for our LO to watch. Berkely Springs offers it's own charm with a variety of restaurants, antique stores and scenic country drives but if you're looking for something else you're only 1/2 an hour to 45 mins from other history towns with plenty of things to do. We took day trips to Martinsburg, Shepardstown, Hancock and Winchester and all had plenty of activities to keep us entertained as well as our LO. You will not regret a visit to this quaint little oasis! Book NOW!"

  • Taste of History

"The home is lovely and so tastefully decorated, you can sense the history of the home and property. We loved visiting the pond and it was great to have a mowed path. We enjoyed coffee on the porch daily while the dogs sat with us and the kids played in the yard. We had our own little Thanksgiving and found the kitchen and dining perfect for a feast of 4! The home is close to the main-town-area of Berkeley Springs which we enjoy visiting to walk for the day or an evening meal. The movies, books, and games provided were the perfect entertainment while we were in the cabin....the "chess corner" was perfect. It was so nice to have linens and towels provided and to have a washer/dryer. The home/cabin is perfect as long as the adults and children are comfortable navigating the (steeper) stairs that are in so many of these historical homes, we had no problem at all and consider it a neat feature. Sally responded to emails throughout our stay when we had little questions, she was gracious and kind."

  • Just what we were looking for

"Had a group of guys looking to get away for the weekend. The house was exactly what we had hoped for. The water was fine and the house was in good condition with a well stocked kitchen (we cook a lot) and nice outdoor/indoor rec areas. Certainly no foul smells, etc. The owner seemed to be a normal, responsive person. Rent with confidence."

  • Perfect getaway

"Perfect little cabin. Nestled in the woods with no neighbors too close for comfort. Has everything you could possibly want. It rained the whole time we were there so we had to stay indoors mostly, but we're not bored. Has all the movies on Netflix and roku plus a vast DVDs collection. Has a great selection of board games not just for kids. Plus wii and PlayStation 3 so there's plenty to do if you do get stuck indoors. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in when away from home. And the price is great compared to what I pay for a lot of rental properties. If your thinking about booking do it! You won't be disappointed we weren't. Can't wait to go back when the weather is nicer"
