  • Beautiful

"The house is beautifully maintained. Everything you need is there for you. No need to travel with extras because the owner has already thought of it. It is a great place to relax. Drinks by the poolside are a must. It is also a wonderful "home" base for day trips. Much to do. Harpers Ferry and all things historical. Frederick, Maryland was a beautiful walking town only about 1/2 hour away. Shops, antiques, restaurants and of course history. And don't forget D.C. It is a little farther but not too far for a day trip."

  • Wonderful!

"Loved the lookout. View was amazing, everything needed was there. Very relaxing. Enjoyed the ping pong table and information book. Nutters ice cream is the best. Close to Harper's Ferry, Washington Mounument in Boonesboro, and battlefield. Thanks hope to come again!"

  • A superb home-base

"We recently visited the area to explore the Antietam National Battlefield and ride the C&O canal tow path. This was a comfortable and convenient base of operations for our stay. Both the Antietam Battlefield and tow path access are just minutes away. We were out of the house way more than at it, but found it quite comfortable, quiet, and a delightful place to stay. Morning coffee on the porch, before heading out on our day's mission, was a great way to start the day. And though we never cooked meals there, the kitchen was well appointed to do so. Nutters ice cream is a short walk, Burkholders Baked Goods is in town and worth a visit for a little "something sweet" to start the day, and just across the river in Sheperdstown are as many dining choices as you could ask for. We also took the train into DC for a day, - plenty of parking at the Brunswick train station, and only about a 20 minute drive. A delightful area to explore - and this is a fine place to stay smack dab in the middle of it all!"
