  • Talk About RELAXATION!

"Found this location on HomeAway, and WOW... What a place. When folks say that this is a remote getaway from it all, they aren't kidding! Leave the Verizon cell phones and computers at home; no use for them here. Waking up to the fog over the valley below, to the afternoons snoozing in the hammocks (if the dogs would let you stop throwing the ball long enough), to the fires outside after awesome sunsets, so many reasons to just relax! Scott was great with answering questions, and working on any minor issues we came upon. Three families with dogs and kids all did great. The kitchen was the best stocked one I've ever rented, and we loved it. Just bring your food (and DRINK!). Wish it weren't so far away, but may just have to make the return trip again in the near future. Absolute gem!"

  • Great property and quick communication from the owners

"First of all, the property is gorgeous and we were lucky enough to have fresh snow on the ground to greet us. There is a large wrap around porch that we made frequent use of and a hot tub located close to the front entrance (which was also a big plus). The house is nice, the beds are comfortable (and plenty), and the kitchen is large enough to have three to four people comfortably cooking at the same time. We would certainly stay here again, but I'd recommend taking the warning about needing four wheel drive seriously. We did fine with various 4x4/AWD vehicles, but access would certainly be a problem with a 2WD with snow or mud on the ground."

  • Great mountain bike vacation at Allegheny 136

"Stayed in Allegheny 136 for 3 nights in July. Our first time to Snowshoe, primarily for a mountain biking vacation. This condo building is centrally located, and the condo itself was very clean and comfortable. Loved having the 2 queen beds in the master, plus the pull out sofa in the living room. Full kitchen...very well stocked with pots/pans/appliances/etc. First Tracts was great to deal with...good and clear communications. If we visit Snowshoe again, would definitely stay here."

  • Great place in the middle of everything

"This place is in the middle of snowshoe village close to everything. We would get dinner at the various restaurants there, all of which were delicious and not insanely overpriced. Starbucks is right there as well if you want coffee in the morning (there is a coffee maker in the place). The locker room is on the main level and can walk out with your boards/skis straight to the slopes (took me a few tries to remember how to open a spin lock). The locker can hold 2 snowboards/skis. The health/fitness center is a few steps from the room. The hot tub and sauna are great to relax in after a long day on the slopes. The bed was a little hard for what I am used to. Overall the place is great and would recommend it to anyone!"
