  • Best week ever!!!!

"We had such a good time, anytime we even had a minute to spare we were swimming and kayaking in the lake. My three grandsons who are 7 (twins) and 10 learned to kayak and with all the water floats even the adults were in the water. The house was so nice and had everything we needed. The state record for perch was 15 1/2 inches and my grandson caught one in the lake that was 14 1/2 inches. I would highly recommend this rental home for anyone who wants to spend a great relaxing time with their family!"

  • Comfortable relaxing get-away

"I've stayed at this cabin several times and always enjoy coming to the area. Our favorite things to do: - Soak away our worries in the hot tub. - Make s'mores by the campfire - Marvel at how many stars you can see in the sky - Relax away from the city - Explore the woods, the creek, and run around the ball park with our dog - Go whitewater rafting in Harper's Ferry, bike the C&O towpath, walk through the PawPaw tunnel. - Soak in the baths and get a massage at Berkeley Springs State Park - Swim in the neighborhood lake - Sit, eat, and drink on the screened-in porch - Play table-top shuffleboard in the game room - Play the piano in the loft - Family game night by the wood stove There is plenty to do in the area or sometimes we just hang out all weekend long in the comfortable relaxing cabin."

  • A wonderful weekend

"My dad and I went there for Father's Day weekend, and had an excellent time! My dad really enjoyed being able to get up into the woods and away from everyday life; the cabin really lived up to its "get away from it all" promise. It was clean, well appointed, and overall very pleasant! 10/10 would recommend."

  • Can't wait to return

"We just returned from an amazing time at this chalet. As everyone else mentioned, the views can't be beat! The deck, hot tub, and view are perfect, and we loved how quiet it was there. The inside was very comfortable also. We barely used the living area, but the couch seemed comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I was grateful for the thorough and accurate descriptions of what we'd find so we knew what to take with us...and take what you need because it's a trip to get to a grocery store. The downstairs bed was comfortable and the bathroom was as nice as described. Erika and Tim were extremely responsive before our stay and also when we had trouble locating something in the chalet. They contacted us right away to make sure everything was good. We went during the week, which made it especially quiet on the mountain. We didn't see anyone on our hikes, and The Woods golf course was pretty empty and a great deal...lunch there was good also if you don't want to fix all your own meals. As others mentioned, I wouldn't want to share this space with anyone who wasn't a close friend or family because the bedroom areas aren't very private, but it could be great for a family as long as you don't have young kids (the stairs are steep). As described, there's no internet (which makes it more of a getaway), and our phones (Verizon) didn't work well either, but good enough to get a call or email out when we needed...with a little patience. This is a true getaway, and we had to extend our stay by a day because we really didn't want to leave! Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven."
