  • Very nice, peaceful and homey

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas experience at this cabin. The owner, Karen, was immensely helpful and good to work with. We loved the outdoor play area for our dogs and the nearby hiking. The only downsides (4 instead of 5) were little things. The kitchen was very small and hard to stage a meal for all of us, and the coffee pot was really slow (this could be due to the water pressure). Great place overall all."

  • Relaxing weekend getaway in the mountains

"Anniversary visit with our family. Our whole family enjoyed the cabin. Very spacious and comfortable. We went hiking on the Kennedy Trail and went to Luray caverns and spent alot of time at the cabin enjoying each other's company. There is a bug problem.....we also have a home in the country but never had stinkbugs and ladybugs like this......maybe all the wood? In any case, the bugs are not dangerous and did not spoil our visit. One suggestion....we found we were missing some essential cooking supplies (like oil or butter).....we brought food but forgot that kind of thing.....may be nice to have some oil stocked."

  • Beautiful Home with Great Views

"What a wonderful place to get away for a few days. The home is lovely and the kitchen has everything you need. The owner, Kim, was a joy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions. There is a very nice screened in porch with a ceiling fan that is comfortable even when it is a little hot outside. And the view is terrific. You can't go wrong staying here."

  • I enjoyed my stay at the Cabin on Trout Run

"The place is very comfortable and spacious, so I think of it as a house, rather than a cabin. It is full of interesting rustic antiques and set on a large, beautiful lot near a stream that I loved, even though it was a running bit low in early September. I needed to make a couple of itinerary changes, and Gayle was most accommodating in both instances."
