  • Beautiful

"The house is beautifully maintained. Everything you need is there for you. No need to travel with extras because the owner has already thought of it. It is a great place to relax. Drinks by the poolside are a must. It is also a wonderful "home" base for day trips. Much to do. Harpers Ferry and all things historical. Frederick, Maryland was a beautiful walking town only about 1/2 hour away. Shops, antiques, restaurants and of course history. And don't forget D.C. It is a little farther but not too far for a day trip."

  • What a lovely spot!

"This was the annual cousins weekend , and your great home and property set a very high standard for future outings. We walked the battlefield daily, but still managed the nice walk up the lane to the road turning up or down the road alternatively. We enjoyed a cocktail in the evening on the rock patio and grilled out most evenings. We found the historic home to our liking and well equipped. All in all it was a great week spent in a memorable setting. Thanks for everything"

  • Hidden Gem!

"My friends and spent a fantastic weekend at this condo & the pictures really don't do it justice. It's very cute and much larger than it looks. The prices are reasonable, the cleaning crew does a great job, and the owner was very responsive. There appears to be a family of deer that live in the woods behind the condo, so they made several stops by to say hi (they love apples, but if it's happy hour they are ok with some Tostito's). The back porch is the size of a small bedroom by itself that I can see being used in the summer months for grilling and watching the sun set over the mountains (perfect unobstructed view!). Fast wifi, a great sound system that you can plug your music into, TV's in every room, plenty of glasses/plates and a lovely fire place were some of my favorite features. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the microwave took three of us about 15 minutes to figure out. But that's no fault on the condo. I'll admit, the exorcist stairs do suck, but once you get up them you are right there at village central near the slopes, restaurants and bars. Sure you can take a bus, but you can walk just as easily. This condo is much nicer than the rooms at Mountain Lodge, Rim Fire, or Snowcrest where I've stayed before. If you can just get past those stairs, stay here and enjoy your Snowshoe vacation."

  • Great place to stay on the mountain

"This treetop unit was a great place to stay! The location is perfect for walking to the village. Everything was clean, the interior was nicely decorated, and best of all the kitchen was well stocked. Unlike most of the places I've stayed up here, there were plenty of plates, utensils, knives, cookware, etc. it may seem like a small detail, but it definitely makes for a much more enjoyable stay. Additionally, the washer dryer combo was new and worked great. Will definitely put this place at the top of the list for future snowshoe trips."
